Has anyone had success swapping their drink for an extra cupcake for lunch at BOG? How would I preorder it this way? Should I order 2 cupcakes or do I order a drink and tell them when I am there that I would like to switch it out?

We didn't try your exact approach but we had issues trying to use snack credits for additional cupcakes. When we got to the cash register they told us they could not do that on pre-orders. It was what they called a 'split' ticket, which they could not do. We had to pay out of pocket for the cupcakes and ended up not having time to use those snack credits elsewhere because it was our last day and it took them a very long time to get us our food (don't know if that was related to whatever they did at the register to allow us to pay cash for the cupcakes or not). It probably doesn't matter too much how you order it because they're going to have to make the changes at the register anyway. Good luck. I'd be interested in hearing if it works for you.

It sounds like OP is trying to switch/exchange her drink that comes with her meal to a cupcake. I do not know if they allow it there - I've heard that different restaurants have different policies regarding what they will and will not exchange.

But what it sounds like you were trying to do was use a snack credit for a cupcake and that is very easy to do. Yes it is a split ticket and they can do it in a heartbeat and I even do it myself at the kiosks (and I have). You ring up your QS order paying with QSDP credit. Then you ring up your snack (cupcake) order paying with your Snack credit. Takes 15-20 seconds tops to do.

If you pre-ordered your meal, again should be no problem to then ring out the Snack credit cupcake.

I must have had CMs who did not know what they were doing then. The first tried for a while and then got the CM on the other register to try to help him and they couldn't figure out how to do it and told me the only way to get the cupcakes was to pay cash. Would I have had to make two separate pre-orders to make it work? I put the meals and the snack cupcakes all on the same pre-order order if that makes sense.

QS and Snacks must always be two different orders in register. Even in hotel food court, if you do both they should ring them separately.

I have pre-ordered once and they lost it .... and I had read that so many times I was prepared for it. My other dozen times I just go to kiosk so I don't have to deal with mistakes.

All they had to do was remove it from your pre-order and then just ring it up as a new order for a Snack. Or since you were at register, cancel your whole order, ring in again as two orders.

Even as they said - the only way to get it was to pay cash - it should have rang all over in their heads as wrong. :confused3
