Swan vs Dolphin

We have the opportunity to stay at either the Swan or Dolphin for a trip next spring. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary when we go! Which would you recommend more S or D and why?

If it is just the two of you I would select the Swan as it is smaller (yeah right - 800 rooms ) and more intimate. To me the Dolphin is just too big.

If you were going with kids, I would say to look towards the Dolphin (although I still choose the Swan).

You will not go wrong with either resort. Have a great time!

Does one have queen beds and the other doubles?

The Swan has queen beds, and the Dolphin has oversized double beds, which are reportedly 1 inch smaller than queens. When we stayed at the Dolphin, we didn't notice any difference between the bed and our queen bed at home.

If you don't have kids with you, definitely go for the King bed and make sure you tell them it's your 1st anniversary

We choose the Dolphin over the swan for the following reasons. The 24hr cafe style and refillable mug place Tubbi's is in the Dolphin. The better health club is in the Dolphin you are closer to the pool side bar that is right next to the lap pool that is on the Dolphin side. I know that the Swan also has a lap pool but we did not notice any sort of pool side service avaiable during our last two trips. We also love the Dolphin lobby. The Swan's lobby looks like well almost like that forgot they needed one and added it on after the fact. Just my opinion of course.

Well, that is why my husband and I perfer the Dolphin over the Swan.

I am sure you will have a great trip no matter which resort you go with.

We just celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary at the Swan. I would recommend it to anyone. It is smaller and more intimate than the Dolphin, there were less children (nothing wrong with children, but for an anniversary trip we weren't really looking for a family scene) and the Dolphin is so close that you can still conveniently walk to any of its restaurants; etc. I would happily stay at either one, though!!! Definitely plenty of magic at this property. Have a great time!
