Swan to Epcot?

We'll be staying at the Swan and were wondering if it's an easy walk to Epcot from there. I see you can take a boat from the Swan, but can you take a bus also? Also, do they open the IGateway entrance the same time as the main entrance? Are you at an advantage from the IGateway for Soarin?

I don't believe you can bus it, but the walk is pretty easy if you are in average shape. The boat stops in between Swan and Dolphin.

you can walk from the Swan to EPCOT. It is a 10 minute or so walk, time depends on how fast you walk. You can also take the boat. The gateway does open at the same time as the front entrance. Whether you are at an advantage to get to Soarin also depends on how fast you walk. The crowds will be smaller, but it may be a bit longer of a walk.

It's a very easy walk. Boats are also nice. I don't think there are buses to Epcot. We always use the I gateway and it seems to open the same time as the main entrance.

The walk is not all that bad, really. Maybe about 10 minutes to the IG entrance to EPCOT. BC/YC are "next door" to EPCOT, and Swan/Dolphin are "next door" to BC/YC. Keep in mind these are very large properties, but the walk is really not bad. If you timed it from stepping on a boat at the same time as you'd start your walk, it'd be hard to beat the boat. But if you timed it including the wait for the boat, walking is usually a bit faster.

I'm pretty sure you can take the boat from the Swan to Epcot and MGM actually (in response to above post). Check out the transportation board, they might know better there.

The walk from the Swan to Epcot's International Gateway is less than 10 minutes (probably around 8). It's fastest to go across the Boardwalk, instead of going around Dolphin, YC, and BC. You will definitely beat the boat to Epcot if you walk. The boat stops at YC/BC and the Boardwalk before going to Epcot. It can take a while for people to load and unload at each stop.

The International Gateway opens at the same time as the main gates at Epcot, including EMH days. It's much faster getting through the security at the IG than at the front gates, and you will be a little closer to Soarin'.

Yes, you can wALk to Epcot and it will only take about 10 mins. If the boat is already there then great but if not, the walk is nothing. Both entrances open at the same time so unless you a real fast walker you probably won't make it to Soarin as opposed to those guests that enter from the main gate.
I had made a suggestion once that that entrance should open earlier for guests that enter through there but so far I haven't seen the change.
There is no bus from the Swan to Epcot or MGM as you can walk or take the boat.
