What room should we request?

We stayed at the Dolphin last year in room 7085. It was the best room. We could watch the fireworks from our window.

I was wondering if there a room that I should request at the Swan so that we could be able to watch the fireworks from our room this year.

I am a Starwood Preferred Guest so I will possibly get an upgrade. I am not counting on it, but keeping my fingers crossed.

We booked a standard room last year at the Dolphin and got that wonderful room. We have booked a standard room again this year and hoping for a good view again.

Please help if you have any hints or any room numbers to request. Also, who do I send the request to and how soon before my trip do I send it?????

We had room 356 (I'm pretty sure that's the number ), in any case it overlooked the driveway and the main entrance to the hotel. We could see TOT from our window and on New Year's Eve we could see the Epcot and MGM fireworks from the window (what, you thought we'd stay out in the rain??? LOL).

On the www.swandolphin.com website, they have a form to send in your requests. I requested a refurbished room and got it. However, I also requested a king bed and did *not* get that. I sent in the request a few (4??) days before arrival, as has been suggested on these boards.

I figured you would get a better answer......

We had room 1262 at the Swan. It was directly above the drive-up overhang. We could see the Epcot Ball & ToT. We didn't attempt to watch anything from our room thou so I don't know how good the views were of fireworks or Fantasia.

Around the 10th floor? , there is a small balcony on the Boardwalk end of the building. My son went out there one night to watch stuff towards Epcot.
