We just stayed at the Swan this past week. I must say we've stayed there SEVERAL times before and have always loved it, now I must say...I don't know how we'll ever be able to stay anywhere else!!

The beds are so amazing! I know many people crash at night when they're at WDW, unfortunately, I'm not one of those...I have problems sleeping in hotel rooms I think because of the humidity level (even when the A/C is cranked up I can still feel the humidity). Anyway, I was up a few time during the night, but I fell back to sleep in seconds, I just don't know what it is about those "heavenly beds"! But, they're great.

We had a beautiful studio room totally renovated. The decor is really nice and modern. Even the sink faucets were replaced. They replaced the buffet furnishing in the studio dining room with an extended desk which was great for dh and they have the dsl hookup which is very convenient! The room was quiet and had a beautiful view.

The staff was just terriffic. I had someone call to make sure our requests were met to our satisfaction. All of the CMs were very friendly and helpful.

We ate at Gulliver's and Palios. Both restaurants had great food and excellent service. As a matter a fact I called down to Palios because dd is so picky and I knew she wouldn't eat anything on their kid's menu. I asked if they could cook her a grilled chicken breast and that request was just fine (they also got her fries too:))

It was a great experience. I highly recommend this resort (as well as the Dolphin). We didn't get a chance to try FRESH yet unfortunately but it looks like it would be really good. Blue Zoo will probably open in January, they still have lots of construction to do. But, looks like it'll be one really cool place to eat!! Looking forward to it!

Just had to brag about the S/D!!

Thank you for sharing. We are staying at the Swan in 2 weeks, after our cruise. I almost changed our reservation to save a little money. My husband convinced me to stay and I'm really glad to hear about the beds. I also have a hard time sleeping in a hotel.

You'll be glad you didn't change them. You will be real impressed!!

You answered a SLOO of my questions in another thread in this forum--THANKS AGAIN!! I am excited to hear about the renovations.
And I love The Palio!! I've eaten there twice (last Dec. for our honeymoon and this year in Oct.), and both times I got the Caesar Salad with extra anchovies and the tortellini with lobster--THOSE ARE AWESOME DISHES!!
Thank you for all the great info that you give!!::yes::

Thanks for the update. We will be there for the first time 12/28-1/02/04. We are dvc members and have always stayed at a dvc since we joined in 1994 (some 13 trips ago!). I have CL reserved, but we are going to upgrade to jr suite which is what you described with SPG points. Can't wait!

Yes the jr. suite/studio room is wonderful (they keep going back and forth on what to call them:tongue:). You'll really like it!

I too had that lobster with the tortellini at Palios, it was delicious and of course, there was too much of it!! Just makes me wish there was something to reheat it with in that jr. suite/studio room!!:hyper:

Hope you all have a great time :teeth:
