Swan/Poly for Christmas?

Hi! We are planning a trip for right after Christmas 2006. I have a lot of Starwood points so I thought I would try the Swan for before New Years, then the Poly starting in value season on the 1st. How are these resorts decorated for the holidays?

They are absolutely beautiful. The Dolphin is more decorated because the size of the lobby, but the Swan is well done. I think they are decorated just as nice as the Deluxe Resorts. The Poly is beautiful and is more Tropical Christmas. The Starwood hotels are very nice and well worth the price. Have a great trip and also be sure to visit the DisTravel to look at really good discounts at the Swan and Dolphin.

Thank you. I was afraid I would miss out by not staying at WL like everyone says to, but I really want to try the Poly.

Back in 2003 we spent 4 nights at the Swan before Christmas, then moved to the Poly on Christmas Eve until 12/29. We thought they were great. We did visit other resorts, including the Wilderness Lodge(not my thing) when we took a sleigh ride, but we thought the resorts we stayed at were great.

I always loved the Poly but didnt think I would stay there over Christmas. I couldnt pass up a great rate we got so we ended up there. They had orange lights, which again,I thought I would hate, but they really pulled it all together nicely. I was very impressed with the decorations there since I had low expectations.
