Swan or Dolphin

My girlfriend and I (21+25) have reservations @ the Swan in August, but as I read the posts of returning Disney vacationers I began to ask myself, should I have booked the Dolphin??? I chose the Swan because ALL the rooms had been renovated and I was guaranteed a heavenly (King Size) bed and so forth... but is it the better of the two??? Further walk to Tubies, less restaurants, less likely to get a high room w/view of Epcot. Personally I like the setup and location of Swan, but are there more reasons to be in the Dolphin???... Just looking for some seasoned opinions.

I think you will be fine. Some of the rooms in the Dolphin can be nearly as far to Tubbis as the Swan rooms!!! When you check into the Swan, just politely ask if you can get a room close to the elevators, etc if that is a desire. We were always at Tubbi's in 5 minutes or so from our room on the 12th floor. Probably considerably less distance to walk than going to the food court at a value resort from most of the buildings!!!

Anyone else have an opinion?

This is a frequently asked question!

Having stayed at both, I will say that I prefer the Dolphin because it has more of the conveniences me and my family are looking for and it also seems a few steps closer to the main Grotto pool.

But the Swan also has it's good points. I prefer the bathroom set-up at the Swan over the Dolphin's. The Swan has what they call a "hollywood bath" meaning that you have your tub, sink and toilet, plus another separate sink just outside the bathroom door. Makes it a little easier when two people are trying to get ready at the same time. The Swan is also much smaller, making it easier to navigate and quicker to get to your room. Both resorts have those heavenly beds, and believe me, they are just that, heavenly!

I describe the Dolphin as a festive and fun, and the Swan as elegant and more refined.

Either way, I think you'll have a great time!

I figured it would be an frequently asked question, but navigating that post is most definitly harder than navigating through the Dolphin Resort. I am happy with my choice, but wanted help weighing the pros and cons.. any other input is appreciated and thanks for the advice and feebcak so far!
