Got some questions about the S/D.

Historically, how often do they honor the Dis rate (139 currently)? We're planning a trip for next year (12-16 through 12-23). We've been to POFQ over and over but we kind of got excited about the Dolphin after a post we read this morning. How do you get the Dis rate?

Which resort is going to give the better view of Illuminations? Is there a map somewhere that shows their relationships to epcot?

Are there any other +/- that make either one better than the other one?

Thanks and sorry for asking so many questions!

As far as the rate goes, anyone can get the $139 rate when it is available, it's an allears rate, you just need the code. I've never had trouble getting the rate. I've actually booked the S/D many times with the allears rate and usually cancelled because of cold feet (as I admitted in my other post today, I'm a disney resort fanatic, I've always believed in on staying on-site, and disney owned). I finally took the plunge over Thanksgiving break and fell in love  As far as which is better, the swan or dolphin, both are very similar....if you want quiet, more romantic....I think the swan would be great....if you want to be where all the action is....the dolphin may be for you...the rooms are pretty much the same except the dolphin has double beds, the swan has queen beds. The dolphin is HUGE, the swan is way smaller. I could be wrong....so correct me if I am....but the way the dolphin is situated and the fact it is taller....may lend it self to having a better Epcot view. We had a dead-on, unobstructed view of illuminations from our room, #9025. It seems the Dolphin is closer to epcot, the swan is closer to the boardwalk. You can't go wrong either way! If you loved the POFQ, you will love the S/D! Have a great trip!
