I found out that I can book 5 nites at a Starwood hotel at 50% off if I use 1000 starpoints. If I did this at either the Swan or Dolphin, how much would that come out to be? I guess what I need to know is what is rack rate at the S/D? I don't want to call the starwood # because I don't have exact dates yet....going sometime this fall or winter. Thanks!!! :wizard:

It should come out to around $150-$160/night.

You can get the same discount with AAA or Entertainment Card if you want to save your points. I believe the 50% off SPG award is subject to availability just like those other discounts.

I do have the entertainment card, so I guess I will have to wait and see which one is available when I book! :goodvibes

Both are great.
Dolphin more family oriented - has the laundry and game room. - Sheraton
Swan - more adult oriented - Westin

Both hotels share the pool, spa, boat rental, laundry, game room, restaurants, ets... They are sister hotels - both Starwood resorts.

Also hint - the Swan has swan statues, The Dolphin is named after the Florida native Dolphin fish - a fish with fins and a smushed face. So look for the smushed fish statues.
