Swan & Dolphin

Just looking ahead to December 2018 and thinking about a two night stay before our DVC stay. We have never stayed at the Swan or the Dolphin so I am curious to hear opinions about the rooms. Also, very curious about the rates. Thanks!

Don't know when in December you're staying, but Swan / Dolphin can be a particularly good value around Christmas. There aren't many conventioners around Christmas week, and the conventions typically drive occupancy, and hence rates, at the S / D. Be aware that rates generally drop the closer you get to your stay. So if you book something today, check back several times before your stay to see if prices go down.

We are a huge fan of both! The vibe is fantastic. Love the Blue Zoo, and Kimonos. Rates seem to be getting more and more expensive, though.

As long as you can avoid the big conventions, you can still find great deals...often in the neighborhood of POR/POFQ rates. Just remember to add $55 for resort fee and parking.

Of course with PO rates going vertical the last couple years, it's easier for S/D to be competitive.
