Swan/Dolphin

I'm sure this has been asked before...do the Swan and Dolphin have transportation? Magical Express? If not, can you take the ME to the Beach Club and walk over?

"Magical Express" is just the transportation to/from the airport.
This is not offered for the Swan/Dolphin

However, they DO have Disney transportation to/from the parks.
They have boats to Epcot and HS (or you can walk) and they have busses to MK and AK.

The Swan/Dolphin is not a Disney resort, so it does not have ME. You can pay at the airport and most likely they will put you on a Disney bus; they are both run by Mears. The cost is listed in a sticky on the transportation thread.

Swan/Dolphin shares bus/water transportation with BW/YC/BC. Swan/Dolphin is the last stop, so it can be quite a long ride for the transportation if you are in a hurry or traveling at peak times. Buses can get very crowded.

Where are you looking to go to/from?


Are you thinking of staying at the Swan/Dolphin and asking if you can get transportation to/from the parks? Or are you asking about direct transporation between resorts?

Disney does not provide magical express service to transport you from the airport to swan/dolphin. They will not send you the tags and documents necessary to take the magical express. You can't just show up at the airport and hop on the magical express and get off at boardwalk and then walk to the swan....You'll need to arrange your own transfer.

You can't just board the ME bus at the airport and take it to any Disney resort. Here's how it works....

When you make a reservation for a Disney-owned resort, you have the option to reserve transportation from the airport to your resort on the Magical Express bus. You would get vouchers in the mail for each person on the reservation, with their name and resort printed, and each person in your party would have to show that voucher at the airport in order to board the bus. You can ONLY take the bus to the Disney resort at which you have a reservation.

As a guest of Swan or Dolphin, that service is not available to you. It's a free service provided by Disney for guests of their own resorts.

Mears, one of the local airport transportation companies in Orlando, does offer (paid) transportation to the Swan and Dolphin. You would reserve that at www.mears.com.

What Missytara is saying is that Mears operates the DME buses for Disney, so if you book your airport transportation through Mears, they may actually put you on one of the DME buses. But you will need to book it and pay for it through Mears. And the luggage delivery part of the DME service is not available to you at all if you're not staying at a Disney-owned resort.
