Swan/Dolphin?

We usually stay on site, love the GF, but thinking of trying someplace new and less expensive. We like our hotel to have several different restaurants on site and a nice pool. Really know very little about the swan and dolphin resorts. How is the travel to and from airport/parks ? I am assuming it is included in your stay ? Can you rent a car on site if you wanted to go off disney property for a day?

Magical Express is not available for those staying at S/D so you would have to arrange your own transportation (cab, limo etc)...we usually rent a car so it isn't an issue but there is a car rental desk right on site to rent a car for a day also. Once there you can use Disney transportation to get to and from the parks although you can walk to Epcot and DHS or take the boat. For the location and price the S/D is great value...the rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the pools are awesome.

I like the Swan & Dolphin, not as well as the Y&BC, but when it is full, I might take the Swan & Dolphin over other deluxe resorts because we like that location. My kids are all grown now so they enjoy EPCOT & the Boardwalk more than the Magic Kingdom and we've been annual passholders at DL since the early 90's, so MK isn't a big deal.

Staying in that area gives you a lot and I mean a lot of restaurant choices you can walk to.
