What are the main differences between these 2 resorts? Is it true that one has double beds, and one queen size? Do they share a bus stop? Is one much closer to Epcot than the other? Is one better than the other?:confused3

Swan has queen sized beds, Dolphin has doubles (full). Dolphin has the food court. Swan is smaller, the convention area is at the Dolphin, the pools are shared among the properties. I chose the Swan over the Dolphin for the size of the beds. . .I also like the fact that it is more intimate. . .

We have stayed at both and most recently the Swan. The big difference to us is the size. The Swan is smaller and therefore we find it more relaxing and the walk to quick service food and the pool is shorter then at the Dolphin. Both are great but if the Swan has rooms we would go with the Swan over the Dolphin.

To understand the differences between the two, one must go back a few years to when the hotels were established.

The Dolphin was operated by Sheraton and was larger to accommodate the conventioneers who generally will sleep on anything so doubles were good enough for them. The Swan was operated by Westin which was more of a premium brand than Sheraton. The Swan was smaller and more intimate and setup for families and couples...thus the queen beds.

Even though both Sheraton and Westin are now owned by Starwoods, the distinction between the two resorts remains.

One of them, I believe the Swan, does not have a laundry room, or they didn't a few years ago.

My first 4 stays were at the Dolphin, and I loved it. But once I stayed at the Swan, that became my preferred resort. The boat dock is shared by both resorts. The bus picks up at the Swan before going to the Dolphin. The Swan is a bit closer to the Boardwalk, and they are probably about the same distance from Epcot.

Is it easy to walk to the Dolphin from Swan, if you want food court? What all is in the Dolphin food court?

Thanks!
