Swan & Dolphin to EPCOT?

About how long does it take to walk to EPCOT from the Swan? What about the Dolphin?

We walked to Epcot almost every night last month from The Dolphin. It takes about 15-20 min. depending on how fast you walk. Maybe 10 min. if you speed walk. The Swan is only right across the walkway from The Dolphin so the same from there. It was sometimes faster to walk to & from Epcot than to take the Friendship boats, they stop at Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk & MGM, depending on which boat you get.

The walk to MGM is another story. We did it once & never again. It took us a good half an hour, probably more.

My son an I walked from MGM to Epcot yesterday and beat the boat
It was a nice walk, about 20 minutes, so the Swan and Dolphin are about half way, we were staying at the Beach Club

Thanks! Is the bus transportation on a schedule, or just random like the other WDW resorts?

It's random just like the other Disney Resorts. We found that the buses ran every 20 min. on this last trip. There are no buses to Epcot or MGM, you have to walk or take the Friendship boats.

I'll throw in more numbers here, just for other comparisons:

Walk to S/D to Epcot is usually 12-17 minutes for us, depending on the 'rush'.
Walk to MGM from S/D is 15-20 minutes, depending on pace.
Boat from S/D to MGM is 8 minutes, from dock to dock. That doesn't include waiting or loading time, that's just if you walk right on the boat and they leave quickly afterward.
Boat from S/D to Epcot is 4-5 minutes to Y/B, then 4-5 minutes to BW, then 6-7 minutes more to Epcot. Again, that's just boat time, not wait or load time.
Same times, but reversed course, coming back from Epcot to S/D. Boat then continues on to MGM.

We were at the BWV in October and walked to both Epcot and the Studios. Both were great walks. From where we were in the Villas it was about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the IG at Epcot. It took us about 20 minutes to the Studios.
The ability to walk is one of the features of these resorts, in our opinion.
I would probably add about 5 minutes to those times from the S/D

These numbers seem high to me. Walk from S/D to Epcot is no more than 10 - 12 minutes in my experience. Walk to MGM can easily be done in 20 minutes or less. This is a normal adult pace and not speed walking.

Unless you walk out of the park and there is a boat just about to cast off, it is almost always faster to walk to S/D from Epcot than it is to take the boat.
