We will be doing a stay at swan/dolphin and wanted to consider some of their restaurants as different options. What restaurants there do you like and what’s the best way to get reservations? Also those of you that stay there frequently, do you typically eat there or do you venture to the other boardwalk resorts?

I love Bluezoo (primarily seafood) and Il Mulino (Italian). I try to eat at one or both even if not staying there. Haven’t tried Shula’s but it gets great reviews as well. I typically make reservations using Open Table- seems like there is more availability there and you don’t have the 24 hr. cancellation requirement/penalty that you have using My Disney Experience. I’ve also had good luck just walking up and sitting in the bar - both Bluezoo and Il Mulino have pretty good sized lounges.

Bluezoo is one of the best restaurants on Disney property.

Shula's is the best steakhouse, Kimonos has the best sushi and Il Mulino probably has the best Italian.

In general, the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin are a step above the Disney-owned restaurants at the parks and other hotels.

I've heard Shula's and Il Mulino are excellent. I just book through Disney's website. The last time I stayed there I mostly ate at my favorite Disney restaurants, but did eat at the Garden Grove.

If you're staying there I recommend trying Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Excellent steakhouse and great proximity.

Go to all of them. You can call to make reservations and some are available on opentable. The restaurants at Swan/Dolphin far outshine anything at BWI or YC/BC. Our favorites are bluezoo and Kimono's.

We really like Il Mulino. Probably the best Italian food on WDW property.

In a different vein, the Dolphin Fountain is really good for burgers and the like.

All the food at the Swan & Dolphin Resort is very good, even at the casual places like the breakfast buffet at Fresh Mediterranean and the taqueria in Picabu. Cabanas, the poolside restaurant, serves very good lobster roll and cheesesteak sandwiches.

Garden Grove is great if you can’t get an ADR at Chef Mickey or don’t want to pay $50+ for a character dinner. With AAA, GG is about $30 per adult, and you get Pluto, Goofy and Chip & Dale. The food is fine and the desserts are even made under supervision of the resort’s World Class pastry chef. GG is a hidden gem.

We really really love Bluezoo! Just made reservations through Disney's website. Only thing depending on people in your party, they do seem to enforce the dress code. My husband was asked to remove his hat. And it definitely feels like an adult environment. Just things to keep in mind!

Best 'Signature' food at Disney (that is not Victoria & Albert).

-- BlueZoo - seafood
-- Shula's - steak
-- Il Mulino - Italian

We eat at these places every single vacation. They take Tables in Wonderland for discounting and also have their own affinity program (Dining Passport).

Also, some of the casual places (like Fresh & Garden Grove) take AAA or DVC member cards for discounting.

We’ve stayed a few times at the Swan and would echo Il Mulino being great and Shula’s as the best steak we’ve maybe ever had! The Garden Grove is the best character meal from character interaction we’ve ever had. Goofy played hide and seek in the restaurant with my (then) delighted little boy and Chip and Dale were really naughty stealing things from the table. Pluto was a star too. Makes me reconsider my beach club booking for our next trip just thinking about it!

Il Mulino is wonderful and we will be going back.
We have read many great reviews of Bluezoo and its on our list to go to.
We have many great steak houses around us, so haven't had much interest in Shulas. However, if you don't have access to one, Shulas is supposed to be very good.
Really depends what type of food you are looking for.

As others have said the Swan and Dolphin restaurants are all really good, so you can't really go wrong. We've never stayed there, but my hubby and I tried Shulas, Blue Zoo, and Il Mulino all in one night. We just went to the bars, had a few drinks and appetizers, and then journeyed to the next one. Because they are all so close it was easy to do and made for a great evening.

Swan and Dolphin are in the Boardwalk area. With so many fabulous restaurants, you may not want to leave the area to eat anywhere else.
