Swan/Dolphin DISers HELP!!!

I am thinking of booking dolphin with AAA rates...I would love feedback...also I called their reservation hotline and they said they had no AAA rates available for my dates...when I went to dreams unlimited and put in my dates they had them...how is this possible...if I book dolphin w/ dreams will they email me a confirmation or anything? Thanks

I'd grab the reservations through DU if I where you. We booked with them on our first trip in 2003 with our kids and they were great. I was weary at first but they offered really good service and a great price that we couln't get anywere else. What you'll get is a hotel reservation in your name as if you called Starwood or the Swan/Dolphin yourself. When we were all said and done I couln't believe how easy it was.

I wouldn't hesitate too book with them at all.

I am starwood member and have stayed at both. LOve the Swan (stayed during xmas week 2004-5)and Dolphin is also nice, but found service better(especially room service meals)at Swan and it is much smaller than Dolphin. If you aren't a starwood preferred guest, I would join before you go ..you will accrie points rapidly there. Swan is a Westin and Dolphin is a Sheraton. Love the location within walking to Boardwalk and BC&YV and boats to MGM and Epcot. I am dvc member and usually stay at one, but have often added a day before or after at either hotel. I currently have enough starwood points for 4 nights at either (I also have a starwood amex and accrue points with each purchase)so we may use them before our dvc new year's stay this year.

There are at least 3 sources I've booked Swan and Dolphin from over the years using the Nurse/Teacher/Gov. Empoyee discount, Starwood (SPG.COM), Dreams Unlimited and the S/D reservation phone line and website. Once I did get the discount at DU while SPG and S/D were out of rooms at that price. Check all three if any one of them doesn't have what you want, you may get lucky. I second the notion of joining Starwood, we've earned free stays at the Sheraton Fallsview in Niagara Falls CA. and FourPoints in Williamsburg VA. If someone tags along with you, you can get up to 3 rooms on a given discount and you'll get the Starwood points regardless of who pays the actual bill. We've done this twice, our guests were happy to pay the cheap rate we got them and we got credit for the points. You will get a confirmation e-mail or document from whomever you reserve with.
