Does anyone know what they charge for a roll-away cot at the Swan or Dolphin ... I am assuming it is available at either.

When I put in three adults (there will be three of us) the fee goes up by $25 for the extra person, if I request a cot would they charge more on top of that?

I've stayed there once but didn't request a cot that trip. We could share but want to know our options and the costs associated.

Thanks all.

Nice idea for providing us information about Swan Dolphin Cost for cot. Would you mind to let us know more about this? Thanks!

I just checked their website; under FAQ's, it says that a rollaway bed is available upon request. It says when you make your reservation, ask for a rollaway bed under special requests and the cost will show up.

Hope that helps.

If paying for the additional adult, there is no extra charge for the rollaway (both generally run $25 per night).

Hope that you have a great stay!

We are a family of 5 (2 adults/3 kids). Is there an extra person or rollaway charge if the additional person is a child?

I believe that there would be, based on the answer above yours. If you are already paying for the extra or third adult, the charge includes the rental fee for the cot.

If you aren't paying for the additional adult, then from what I am reading from the posting, then there would be a charge for the cot.

You need to check if you can have 5 to a room in the Swan/Dolphin, if the third child isn't under the age of 3.....there are only certain resorts that allow 5 people in a room, unless the fifth person is under that age.

I did just check their website; you can only stay at the Dolphin in a standard room with 5 people; it is only 4 at the Swan. Now, that is a standard room; they do have suites.....

Their website says that you can have 5 in a room at the Dolphin resort. We probably wouldn't need a cot because my kids don't mind sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag that we would bring from home. I just wasn't sure if there is a charge for the 5th person. I really want to try the Dolphin because I love the location! We are currently booked for a family suite at the ASMU resort, but I'm considering a split stay if the price at the Dolphin drops.

My email to the Dolphin Sheraton:
"How much does it cost for a cot? We will be three adults and I notice that there is a charge for the 3rd adult .. will there be an additional cost if we request a cot or is that assumed in the cost for the 3rd adult?"

Their response:
"The Walt Disney World Swan has a 25.00 nightly charge for a roll away to be added into a room as long as the room you choose is large enough to accomidate this."

As has been my experience everytime I've emailed them, this doesn't really clarify anything for me. Good grief!!

Well, that is confusing! When I read the response in the post from SwanDolphin, I assumed that the $25 extra person charge included the fee for the cot. Your email response from the hotel makes it seem like you would get an additional $25 cot fee in addition to the $25 extra person fee. Yikes. That could get pricey. I can see why you are still confused!:confused3

Okay, I had to come back and share with everyone what has transpired since my posting the email exchange with the Swan & Dolphin.

I just got a PM entitled Thank You! Okay, I'm thinking what is this? Turns out that Cristina Chylinski, a Reservations Operations Manager, seen my post and below is the resulting PM to me ...

"Thank You ...
... for flagging about the email response. Below was an email sent by the Reservations Operations Manager to the supervisors copying the post that you made. She has assured me that there will be no charge for the rollaway if you are paying for the extra adult, and you can use her name as confirmation of that. We apologize for the delay in getting the correct information to you, and hope that you have a very nice stay!

**(your post pasted)

FYI about this. We need to make sure that our responses answer our guests’ questions. Please find out who sent this and give some guidance.

Thanks!

Cristina Chylinski| Reservations Operations Manager"

I am so beyond impressed and pleased with all of this. I've already responded to the PM with thanks but I'll say it again here ... a big thanks Cristina, excellent customer service!!!! :cheer2:

What if there are two adults and one child? We have a room at Dolphin with two beds, but DD currently has a cold and is snoring. I was thinking it might help if I slept on a cot in the entryway to be away from the noise. Thanks!

This post is almost 9 years old so procedures may have changed. You should probably contact the Dolphin directly.
