I went hunting yesterday and it was to hot to even hunt......this is Maine and 80s is to much.......so alot of other critters but no Deer.....they arent' stupid....to hot to move around....I do love to be in the woods by myself (as long as I have my trusty 44 with me).....it is so peaceful and no one saying.......marie do this ....or marie get me something.....the rug rats ....not dear hubby....he is still a good guy....or else I would pumbarize him.....hahaha.....
have a good sunday everyone

DH went out this morning..and yesterday morning too pumba, with his bow. He saw a moose, no deer though. He just loves beign out in the peaceful woods too.....but I torture him when he gets home with the honey-do list ;)

While he was out my stepdaughter (Madyson's mom) called all excited that she had a HUGE bull moose walkign in her backyard...they'd seen deer and a bear and assorted other critters out in their area before, but never a moose!

This afternoon we are off to see the Varsity boys quarterfinal soccer playoff game...it has started raining though :( :(

Tonight, SIng-along Wizard of Oz with my sister and DIL. Remember I told you about the "wild geese with the moon on their wings" costumes earlier this year for Sing Along Sound of Music?
Well, my sister has made a cardboard house and a gorgeous pair of ruby slipper...so she is the Wicked Witch of the East who gets the house dropped on her by the twister...you know with the feet in the ruby slippers sticking out the bottom? Well I have been elected to be the twister....right now I am half a white twister...I have get this contraption painted gray somehow and go to the soccer game too.... ah what we do in the name of fun..........

Boys won 3-0 :teeth:

Sing Along WoOz was great fun...I was an AWESOME twister ;)

to bed now....never got laundry or grocery shoppig done this weekend..though DH got a load done tonight so we have underwear at least ;)

And yes Debbie I do want to exchange pics of our seniors :)

I have no senior...sigh....I do have some senior pics, tho :)

And I have two (yes-count 'em--two) grandsons who have been recommended for the advanced program at school! Yep--both of them!

You would have to understand the problems with Shawn in the past to really appreciate this. He has had several teachers who wanted him put on meds, saying he was ADHD (nope--didn't happen. I don't medicate my kids for the teachers' convenience). He failed third grade and had to repeat. Getting him to do school work and/or homework has been a real chore over the years--screaming and yelling fits. He's been put on homework contracts so that I would know exactly what homework he had, because he would outright lie to me and say he had none...

Then, this year, this new Shawn shows up. He's on the safety patrol, in the band and the orchestra.

A few weeks ago, he told me he wanted to try out for the Quick Recall team at school. I encouraged him to try, if that's what he wanted, but, also tried to prepare him for possible failure. I honestly didn't think there was a prayer he would make it. But, he showed me! He tried out and he made the team!

Now this....

I don't know what to think.....

I am so proud of both of them for this, even if they don't make it into the program. Just to be recommended despite all they've been through (and continue to go through) is really something for them to be proud of.

And for me to be proud of... :teeth:

Hi there everyone....how are ya?

Pooh, what are your dates for WDW? I hope I can pop over to say hi to you when you are there! :)

Night all, heading for bed - wanted to come say hi.

its me.....In MAINE.....we do not hunt on Sundays we still have some law on the books that says nope....can't do it ......so at least I know that husband won't throw me out of bed on that day too......heck we just got rid of the stores being closed on Sundays.........had to get rid of that blue law.......so hope you all have a great week and keep safe everyone......you are all new friends to me......well not quite new....OLD friends

thats great Sue...Congrats to the boys and proud you should be :D

I came here yesterday and saw no posts from anyone...whats up with that  now this morning I see others posted yesterday
I'm losing my mind
OK OK I'm losing whats left of it :p

I'm still so sad for mike...he tells me he's fine but he's telling his friend he isn't :(

oh I forgot...I'm only working 1/2 day today. At noon jerry and I are headed to Pittsfield...an hour and a half away to our boys soccer playoffs...quarter finals I think. Both my boys on this team....this is great....wish them luck!!!! Cross your fingers and toes and anything else that crosses

morning :wave2:

ann...one of DH's absolute favorite movies of all time is the Wizard of Oz...and i'm sure you were an adorable twister!!

i can officially say that we are moving into our new house NEXT MONTH!!!! we went to the house saturday and there is definite progress being made! the exterior trim is painted...shingles are done...they had the drywall in nice stacks in all of the rooms in the house. i think we're on work day number 17 now. they'll be getting ready to begin putting up the siding on the outside!! it's really looking like a house now!!!!

and it's kinda funny...only the clay aiken fans might appreciate this one...but the color of our siding...it's called CLAY!!!! i'm gonna have clay all over my house! :teeth: (i just couldn't resist) i said that to matthew and he asked if it was too late to change the color.

and debbie...this one's for you...

 :lovestruc

have a good day everyone!!!

Debbie-you're probably already gone but I'm sending a bunch of soccer-winning PD to your boys this afternoon! And an extra batch for Mike :(
DD was in a funk last night again...soemthing to do with her ex too...she still hurts since their breakup in April, even though she says she's fine, and says she doesn't want more than the "friendship" they have now, she still gets upset about things that wouldn't bother you if you really were "just friends" sigh

Poohlovr: congrats to your boys...that is wonderful news! AS you've said, to be recommended is such an accomplishment in itself and something for them and you to be VERY proud of!!

Brandie...too funny on the house color  but believe it or not I'd rather see a pic of the house than the person-who-is-named-for-the-color-of-the-house ;) :teeth: hehehehehe
I liek Christine's pictures of houseboys and hunks over that skinny little dude anytime...don't get me wrong...I think his voice is very pleasing to the ears...but he doesn't do anything for my eyes ;) :teeth:

Hi to everyone...have to run back to work now!!!!!!!!!

he doesn't do it for some people...i don't drool over him by any means, but there is something about him that i'm drawn too...i think it's his eye color...i didn't see the big deal about him at first, but the more i read about him, the more i like him :)

don't worry, i'll post a pic of the house once the siding begins to go up!! lol

Have to say I quite agree. Also. have to agree with the post a few days ago about Sir Paul McCartney. Even at 61, he makes me drool! Maybe it's just the memories he evokes of my youth (yes, Debbie, I was young once upon a time). Maybe it's cause he was the first rock star I ever had a crush on (I was 13--I wanted to be his Lisa Presley! Don't think my parents would have gone for that, though...even if hers did. They wouldn't have cared.) Alas. he never got to meet me, so he missed out on the great love of his life.

Now, for today's OH,NO!--I've never even heard he who is named after mud, sing! :earseek:

Howdy folks! :)

Good news, Ms. PL.... congrats.

Er, um... seems like you just started that house... time flies!!!

go to amazon.com and do a search for clay aiken. they have snippets of his cd there...

he's got a great voice!! i'm hooked on his cd. it's mellow...very easy to listen to...and it's not full of sexual innuendos, etc as most other pop singers songs are!

Good evening everyone!! Sue - that is great, some smart boys you got there! :)

How was everyone's weekend? Where is Gail? Oh I will be you know where in 4 days!!!!!!! :bounce:

:scared1:Who WAS that fly-by poster???

Hi there prodigal Bob! :love1:

my boys team lost.....no big deal...on to basketball season

Ann...Mike and Meghan need to go out on a date ;) too bad we don't live closer :teeth:

my house is clay all over too...we just had it sided last June while I was at WDW so I wouldn't have to listen to all the hammering.
As for Clay...its his music and his voice that I totally love not his body....he's 24 .....I'm old enough to be his mother. And from what I read he's a wonderful person too....and I melt when he sings ::yes::
