I'm not in a joking mood anyway...Mike and Kristine broke up
they have been going together for 4 years....this is not going to be easy They have both been doing a lot of crying
And of course her parents are our very good friends and the tensions are stretching This is an awful situation
But I will remember that things always work out in the end

and no Ann.....you can let M know I'm not meddling ...I'm just letting him know that I'm here whenever he feels like talking about things

i'm sorry about the break up debbie...i know it's not easy to go through something like that. it's good to know that he's got your shoulder, should he need it.

Hey I'm for anything that makes anyone feel happy inside -- maybe I shall have to give a listen to this Clay guy. I do like that song that they play on the radio that he sang on the show.

Debbie--- I am so so sorry about Mike and Kristine. Like we've said before on this thread, things have a way of working themselves out one way or another, but it sure isn't easy, is it? It hurts so much to see your child in emotional pain ....and you have the added tension of the families being so close...so it's personally difficult for all the other relationships in addition to the "broken up" couple.
I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you, and the kids and the families too, as you deal with it and adjust to it.

I've been feeling a little under the weather all day...a little dizzy/earachey, nauseous, a little tummy unsettled...bleeech.
But one good thing..... it's even closer to Friday than it was when Christine mentioned it earlier....thank goodness. and another good thing- the real weather itself is GORGEOUS here and expected to warm up to close to 70 by Saturday! night get one more "topless" day before the real cold settles in!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

How are you all this beautiful day? I have been so worried that it would be too cold for the trick-or-treaters tonight, but, no worries now! 80 today and 70 for the little hob-goblins, tonight!

I ordered my tickets yesterday for MVMCP!! Doin' a big happy dance for that!!!!

Have mid-terms tomorrow in Advanced Anatomy. Not even ready for that. Puts a slight bummer in my previosly posted Happy Dance.

Another bummer--I have finals and a lab in A&P on the day we were supposed to arrrive at WDW. Now, we have to go a day later. If it were just a test, I could possibly re-arrange it, but, I can't do anything with the lab part.

Oh, well--no biggie, cause I'm still going to Disney World!!!!!

well ladies and gents......I am sooooooooo happy .....so very happy.....I can't sit still .........yah.......I am excited..........as most of you know ....our son and his wife lost their baby when she was 7 months along.....His name was Nathan.......we were so upset......well here we are...........they are expecting a baby in June.....almost the same time as when baby nathan was expected......we will love this child so much......we are to excited ......please keep them in your good thoughts.......thanks so much

Ann ...thank you for the kind thoughts and words....I wanted to say that earlier and I just didn't have the time. Thanks also for the phone call...I'm sorry I couldn't talk.....I felt bad that you called and I couldn't even talk...but with Mike right there....not a good idea. Yea he came home sick from school.....he wasn't sick of course....just upset I think.
He seems OK today though
Actually MIke and Kristine are still friends and they're going to Fright Fest at Six Flags tomorrow night with another couple.
I do believe that things will work out for the best in the end....its just the getting there part thats rough.

Oh my goodness my little Dumbo was THE most precious thing you can imagine.....besides his cousin Mady Jo of course, she was a ladybug and she was adorable too...and little baby Delaney was a pea in a pod...little green suit and hat with these big peas stuck on her...the peas were like baseball size foam thingies cut in half, the flat side had sticky velcro-ish stuff to stick on the flannel type fabric of the pod/suit. I started singing "Baby Mine" to Avery and he said "Grammie NO!" (that's THE word these days )...he MUCH prefers "It's a Small World"

When they left...DH and I went for our usual Mexican...the staff was all dressed up for HAlloween....the owner/hostess was in a nun's habit....so DH started calling her...'Sister Margarita'!

DD is on the Senior class float at the Homecoming parade today...
she has the dance tonight but DH and I are going to one too...(a dinner dance thingie for his company's 30th anniversary). I wanted to "help" (or at least watch ) DD get ready ..and take pics...her last high school homecoming dance...but she's having a friend do her hair at 5 and then they they will dress there, and go to another friend's house for pics with their whole gang and other parents. But by the time they dress and go for the group pics, we will have to be leaving town for DH's thing

I love who my boys are now...all 3 of them....BUT....
the other day I was going thru pictures of when they were young and I just soooo longed to have those young boys back
The reason I was going thru the pics is cuz we.....as the parents of seniors get to buy a page in the yearbook. On this page or 1/2 page..we can say anything we want to say to our senior and put in pictures of when they were younger. The page is called "A Public Display of Affection" They are very nice.....I spent so much time just trying to get the words right that I wanted to say and to choose the pictures. But it got me into such a mood especially with MIke's first broken heart going on at the same time......it really made me wish I could go back.....

I'm sounding really down aren't I......

Debbie---DD's yearbook has the PDAs too.....I am tryign to figure out what I'm doing on that.....I'm thinking of going in on a big one, maybe full page, along with her 3 close girlfriends' moms...a collage type with some "young" pics of them individually and then the ones of the 4 of them through middle and high school...then also I want one of course from DH and I...I have a song quote that I want in that, not sure about picture(s) ..I have to get moving, the deadline is only a few weeks away....but I know I'll cry too while I reminicse

we have a choice of a whole page, half page, quarter page or an eighth of a page and a choice of black and white or color. I looked thru other books from past years and the most popular seemed to the black and white half page so I went with that....and that was $100. I thought that was plenty. There was only one or two that had done the whole color page which were over $300....thats a bit much with senior pics and college I thought

I haven't gotten Mikes senior pictures back yet but I'd still like to exchange a wallet size with you.....okie dokie????

the weather is just so darn beautiful...we're actually deck staining ....a small part that didn't get done in the spring...so I've been staining and listening to you know who on my CD player
