Good morning--
DH and I have decided it is time for a little "us" time.....family and chores be darned....
we are heading over the border into pumba-land to see how the weather is at the beaches..York at least, maybe Ogunquit if we get moving here soon...if the weather is not to our liking there we shall see how the weather is at the Kittery Outlet Malls then dinner and the UNH 1st pre-season hockey game tonight...they are playing the US Age 18 National team, all the "hot" youngsters (as in hot players on the verge of college or pro scene, not hot as in how DD would define them though that too )

today went to boothbay harbor and saw an angry ocean.....the swells and the white caps were vicious......we had a bad storm today with high winds and heavy rains.......it was fun traveling to the ocean though.......we also went to a pottery store that I love....Edgecomb Potterys......nice EXPENSIVE stuff......my friend tina got me a cute bowl from there last year and they are all one of a kind........then went to an off lot store and liked the junk I saw there
so ladies and gents come on in.....and have some fun

nice quiet weekend...well except for the darned neighbor blasting his music AGAIN. at least he stopped the music at a decent hour last night!

DH made my cut his hair last night!! i did it once before and it ended up A LOT shorter than we expected. but he decided that he wanted me to do it again to help save us some money. everything was going alright...until he did the area around his ear. it ended up a lot shorter all the way around than normal. but it still looks good. i'm just glad that his hair grows fast. while i love him to death, i don't like his hair this short!

Brandie-great news about the house. And the other thing is???? Come on--you can tell us. We won't tell a soul.

well...i can't say anything yet...i should hopefully be able to say what's happening this week though...

None of you were left in chat last night when I got in there (if you were there at all), but I did caper with Marla and saw NancyIL who was just leaving when I came in...and said hello to Donna Pandypaws too!

I'm sooooooooo tired.....going to try to keep my eyes open for the WOmens US World Cup soccer semi-final, which I am off to watch right now!!!

I'm back in business I have had no internet...actually it was puter problems....and what a mess it was....glad to see that Sue missed me cuz she asked where I was....unlike the rest of you supposedly kind people

now I had to read fast to catch up....so I'm confused...who is going where.....naked??????

hope you all had a great weekend...I have to admit that even without internet mine was great.....we ordered a brand new car...its gorgeous burgandy 2004 Chevy Malibu LT and its loaded .... yes sir leather HEATED seats...moon roof...climate control...spoiler....remote entry and remote start so I can start my car and warm it up before ever going out the door We ordered cuz we couldn't find one anywhere the way we wanted....so I have to wait 4- 8 weeks....great Christmas present!!!! $300 over invoice and then minus the rebate....terrific deal....I did my homework first

I am pooped still.........we left yesterday at seven am and traveled up north and went moose looking.......we did 460 miles on the truck and saw three big impressive bull moose......hope the photos come out.....we got home at nine thirty last night.....I am achey and tired......also we saw the most yucky sight of them all

where did that weekend go??? it was over before it had even begun!!

i'm still waiting on something before i can tell you guys my secret...

i'm so excited that this house thing is FINALLY taking shape!! it seems as if we started this process so long ago...we spent our saturday looking at house related stuff. we went and measured windows in our model so that we could begin pricing wood blinds, etc. and we had to count up how many sets of shutters we need...we could have purchased them through the builder, but they wanted $70 PER pair of shutters...we could get the same thing at home depot or lowes for $20 PER pair!! insanity!!! so the exterior of our house will be naked for a bit until we're able to get the shutters up. my mom wanted us to register at places so that they could get us stuff that we wanted or needed for the house, but i think we've decided just to make a list of some stuff we want and then ask for gift cards. that way we can go and buy what we know we need right away. the decorating stuff will just come as we can afford to do it. heck, we won't even have furniture right away! this ought to be interesting...

Work is a zoo...I'm exhausted and it's only Monday had to grocery shop tonight there was no time over the weekend. Now I'm going to sit down and "Cowboy Up" ...how 'bout those Red Sox!!!

Tomorrow is DH's birthday and I have a token gift, no card kids and grandbabies coming for pizza right after work.....I should mop the floor...nah, I'll do it after they leave

I went to bed around 10:30...I couldn't take the nail biting, but then I couldn't fall asleep - so I got up and watched the end of the game with DH. It was so nice to see them win, especially after that horrible collision in the outfield. I wish the students/fans would behave in the streets though the celebratory rioting is so stupid.

I'm off to work now...have a good day.....

lol...we do have a headboard! but that's all the furniture that will be going into this new house! and we can't exactly sit on it in the living room...lol
the furniture we currently have is so old and nasty that it's not going anywhere's near the new house!!! we've already got the furniture we want picked out. we just can't do anything about it until AFTER we close on the house. and we, of course, decide on fabrics that have to be special ordered! so, that will take about 5 weeks until we have something to sit on!! hope that carpet's nice and comfy!

we had a good game around here last night too! our Indy Colts came back to beat the heck out of the Tampa Bay Bucs! they were down 21 to 0 at halftime. we gave up on them and went to bed...woke up this morning to hear that they had won the game 38-35! AND most of those points came in the last 4 minutes if the game!! for once, it looks like the Colts are actually having a good year!

well, we HAD some good news in our family, but it's now become some sad news. my sister had taken 2 pregnancy tests and they were both positive...but it now looks as if she's lost the baby. she's going to see the doctor tomorrow to make sure everything's ok. my sis seems to be ok, a little disappointed, but ok. so if you can spare any pixie dust, send it her way to help her through this.

the weird thing is that she's following in my mother's footsteps! she's the middle child, so is my mom. they were both pregnant with the first grandbaby, but miscarried about a month into it. BUT it turned out that my mom was STILL pregnant after all! she had been carrying twins and lost one of us. the docs told her that there was no baby but she went back in about a month later and said that something just wasn't right. and lo and behold, here i am! i'm not expecting the same miracle for my sister, but there is a bit of wishful thinking...

um yes we have a chance Gail and looks like SSB is rooting for the Sox...... along with the "always kind" NHAnn and the "always kinder" mickeyfaniam so there!!
