To all - 2006 vacationers

Swan/Dolphin has AP rates for 2006 avaliable.
I just called - dates after June 28th into the summer months

You get an AP rate and bumped one level.

We got 214.50 in US DOLLARS per night
* * * $210 for teacher rate ***
STATE SALES TAX 6.5 Percent Per Room Per Night NOT In The Rate
LOCAL RESORT TX 5.0 Percent Per Room Per Night NOT In The Rate

2 DOUBLE BEDS
DELUXE NON-SMOKING ROOM, RESORT VIEW WITH BALCONY, ARMOIRE/TV/STOCKED MINIBAR, MOVIES/GAMES/VIDEO CHECK OUT, 2 LINE SPEAKERPHONE W/DATAPORT, WITH VIEWS OF CRESCENT LAKE AND THE SURROUNDING RESORT , THE RENOVATED ROOMS ARE 360 SQ FT AND FEATURE HEAVENLY BEDS

Are you saying it is ONLY valid from June 28 through the summer, or are they all out? We're planning on going in May.

I would call the Swan/Dolphin directly.
That is what I did today - 9/15/05

I was even able to snag a teacher rate (DH) - $210 / night for the same room
June 28, 2006. I forgot to ask about teacher rates

Normal rack rate for 2005 .... Resort w/Balcony $394

So a savings of $184 per night. For 7 nights = $1218 (pays for air fare)
Maybe more of a savings - I do not know 2006 rack rates.

I just called for January 5 - 13. I was told Teacher rates and Disney AP rates haven't been released yet. However, the reservationist did say that when they are released the Standard rate will be $155 for teachers and 169.50 for AP'ers.

As a government employee, they offer $129 per night which is usually the teacher rate as well.

I don't know if I'd pay > $200 to stay at the Swan/Dolphin.

Wonder why they are out for summer 2006 and not earlier.
I would try and call again.

I was offered a rate around $169 for a basic room, but we want a balcony and nice view.

I just called and there are gov't rates available from 5/25 - 6/3. I think they are the same as teacher/nurse rates. No other dates in May are available at this time.

The rates are higher but they did just remodel so that might be why. Does anyone know whats up the last week of Jan first of Feb? They say there are no rooms available for part of the week. We really wanted to stay at the Swan.

I just called the Swan & Dolphin and asked if there were AP rates available for Jan 20-29th. The CM said no. When I asked if they every came out for Jan, he said the resort is pretty busy in January, and they may not have any discounted rates then . BOOOOOO

Just looked at a web site that said Jan 15-April 30 was PEAK season for Swan & Dolphin. Now Im sad.. lol

Im betting there will be no discounts then.

I wonder why it is peak season for S & D in January while its value at the other disney resorts????

Cheer up all! Last year I booked first week of March and got teacher's rates..l've been told to just keep calling because I'm traveling the same time again this year ..maybe they'll become available later this fall.
