Swan/Dolphin 3/6-3/13?

We wee hoping to plan a trip for 3/6 - 3/13. However, the SPG sites is showing no availablity for 3/6 - 3/9. Anyone know why or what's going on that week?

I can't answer your question as to what is going on that week, but I do have another option. Have you tried dreamsunlimitedtravel.com? They sponsor this site and frequently they have dates the hotel doesn't show. You can also look for discounts there using the teacher/nurse/government or AP rates. Good luck!

I called Dolphin directly and was told that 3/6 - 3/13 there is a big convention and they are sold out.

We are going to split out stay. We were able to get Dolphin for
3/10 - 3/13. We will be at CBR for 3/6-3/9 and check into Dolphin the morning of 3/10.

You might want to try for a split stay. Try for Dophin for the end of your trip. It worked for us.

This would not be the way I really wanted to do Disney but at least we will be able to end our trip up at Dolphin.

My major complaint is I hate to pay mod price when I can stay at Dolphin with teacher discount.

I was looking at the Dreams Unlimited website for the same time frame. The Dolphin is available during that time, but I was only able to get a teacher's discount for the last part of the week. Often times the conventions don't fill up and rooms are released. I don't know if discount rates are though.

I booked 2 rooms at the Teacher's rate @ Dolphin for 3/5 - 3/13 a whole year in advance and it took several tries to get all the days I wanted. This is a high volume week at all the Disney resorts, but I'd just make a ressie for whatever days you can get and keep calling back. Make a 'Plan B' reservation at another WDW resort and cancel if you get your week at Dolphin.
