Swan AP or winter dreammaker?

After realizing we couldn't afford the WL without AP rates, we booked the Swan yesterday. We haven't bought park entry tickets yet. Today we came across the Winter Dreammaker package which offers us a savings of about $100 and it is in the resort we were all psyched about earlier. Of course, now we've talked ourselves into Swan (location most of all) and are now completely confused. Should we cancel our Swan booking and go for the WL or go ahead and buy the AP and stay at Swan?

We are a couple in our twenties. His first time, I went many years ago with my parents so i am sort of first-timer, sort of not.

Did you book the Swan at a discounted rate? If not, you may be able to still get some kind of discount there. It seems like they come out with special rates all the time.

I also assume you have figured out your costs based on Park Hopper tickets and remembering that the Dream Maker Package cost is per person while the Swan cost is just per room/per night. The package price includes the UPH, which I stay away from because it as all these extras that I won't use along with the other package features that I'll skip. For me room only works better, and we save a lot of money getting Park Hopper Pluses instead of UPHs. We just stayed at the Dolphin and you can't beat that location. The Swan is actually more adult and has Heavenly Beds. I love the location of the Swan/Dolphin. I think it might suit you better since you don't have kids with you. You're right next to the Boardwalk and can walk to Epcot. MGM is a short boat ride away. They have great bus service to MK and AK.

On the other hand, WL is supposed to be fabulous at Christmas (that's when you're going, right?) If it works out to be $100 cheaper, I would probably go for that and save the Swan for another trip.
