In doing online research for our Disney trip, I saw a popup that there is also a Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine type festival, and it seems it will occur during our trip.

Has anyone ever attended this event?

I think there's a separate charge, and I don't know if you have to stay at the Swan or Dolphin to attend, but we might be interested in attending, especially since we're getting scared off by the crowds of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival on the weekends. It would also give us a chance to check out that resort and their dining offerings, as it's a possibility as a family vacation resort for us.

Would love to hear any feedback from anyone who has ever attended.

Thanks!

You do not have to stay at the Swan or Dolphin to attend. I haven't attended yet so I don't know how crowded it is.

Attend the Food and Wine Festival on weekdays if you can, rather than not attend it at all.

We attended it this year and enjoyed ourselves, despite some poor weather. You don't have to be staying at the Swolphin to go, and there is a separate charge for the event. You can book a package at the Swolphin that includes a wrist band giving you unlimited tasting (food and beverage) or you can buy that wrist band separately.

You can also buy a bunch of tickets that you exchange at the various booths for the item offered. It didn't look to us that this was a good deal from a cost basis.

DH and I been the 2 years its been offered
Like pp mentioned you don't have to be a guest staying at S & D
The first year we also did a wine blending seminar which was really good (you can see the backs of our heads on one of the photo on the website!)
and then had much fun outside on the causeway trying all the food and wines.

This year the rain was horrific, but still managed to have a great time with the setup in the Swan. We did not do any seminars this year, we paid for the wristbands and sampled foods/wines(drinks)

We'll definitely hit the Epcot festival during the week. I thought this might be a good alternative if we can't get ADRs for that weekend. The price is a lot cheaper than the special events at the Epcot festival, and it seems like a great opportunity to try different dishes while checking out the resort.
