I was wondering if you guys had any photos of a Swan and Dolphin wedding, or had any thoughts on what was like, I am mainly curious how the ceremony, flowers, and cake and if anyone has any photos of their horse and carriage. I am seriously considering doing my vow renewal here since they have a lot less restrictions and they are a good bit cheaper. Any advice or anything you could let me know of would be so appreciated.

Thanks
Kim

I am getting married on the beach in January. We always wanted a beach wedding, but didn't think it was possible. If you do a search on these boards there are some good pics of the sites of Crescent Terrace and the courtyard, just search swan and dolphin. My bridesmaids flowers I am making myself, however I am trying to get a bouquet for myself. They can give you quotes on any flower arrangement and cake you might want. Also included in the package is a decorated arch that look really nice. For me it's not an option being on the beach. I am really happy I went with them, so far my planner has been really nice and informative. She is also really quick with her responses. Also they can customize the package. Mine is actually going to be a lot cheaper since I am bringing my own music and not using the arch, so those items are deducted. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just let me know and I can try to help.

Well, I don't have any pictures of the actual wedding, since mine is in 2 weeks (yay! :bride:), but I did post a couple pics of crescent terrace in the Swan wedding FAQ thread that is stickied to the top of this forum.

I would recommend using Just Marry! (the wedding planners that handle the ceremony) to anyone. They are amazing! I would not, however recommend the swan catering or ballrooms at the swan. They were so horrible with communication. They didn't even respond to half of my e-mails! I had so many more problems with them that I am not even going to go into. I am now having my reception at the Blue Zoo in the Dolphin. They have been so nice and great with communication! I can't wait!

Ok so I know you did't really ask for all that, and you just want pics, but I don't really have any. sorry! But if you want pics of the horse and carriage, perhaps Just Marry can supply you with one. I know that it is not Cinderella's carriage, but instead a normal carriage. i don't know if that helps or not!

The cake that I am getting is coming from Bake Me a Cake, www.bakemeacake.net. They come highly recommended from my wedding planner at Just Marry!

My flowers are coming from Greenery Productions. www.greeneryproductions.com I can't speak on personal experience, but I have heard great things about them.

The cake and flowers were taken care of by my planner, all I had to do was tell her what I wanted.

Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you!

Is that who they go through normally for cake and flowers? She sent my pics to a flower and cake person. I think the cake was through the Swan. I haven't got a quote back on either yet and I am waiting to sign my contract.

Hhhmm, I'm not sure. She will tell you if you ask.

i think the reason my cake isn't through the swan is because I'm not having my reception there. :confused3 That's my guess anyway!

Thanks for the wonderful info. My daughter is planning a Swan Dolphin wedding. She is having 40 people at the actual ceremony. She is doing the "ala cart" wedding. I think all together, the site with plain white chairs, the officiant, and videography will be costing about 1700. Members of the family are professional photographers. We are going to try and see if we can have a keyboardist at the ceremony - also a family member. We plan on having a cake from Costco and a mini reception in a DVC Grand Villa. (3 br sleeps 12 with full kitchen, living room and dining room.) There are actually 3 sites to consider. I will find out from her where the third one is. Then we will have the reception when we get back home.

Hi there
we got married at the swan last week and it was so magical. Our cermony was on the beach so if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask!

My sister had her wedding at the swan - it was beautiful! These pictures are from 2001, so I don't know how much has changed since then, but thought i'd post them just in case they helped anyone. The pics were taken by me, so not very good quality, and they are not in order at all...

In her bouquet, what is that purple flower? I am trying to find a small purple/lavender accent flower for my bouquet and the one they reccomended I don't like very much.
