Swan and Dolphin beds

Hi,
We are trying to decide which place to book...Swan or Dolphin.
What are the oversized doubles like at the Dolphin?
We have a queen at home, and feel cramped on a regular double bed.
It's so hard making the decision on which hotel to stay in!

Don't know about the Dolphin, but we stayed at the Swan last month and had a queen-size Heavenly Bed. They are wonderful!!

We have always gotten a king. They are in the process of remodeling and have NEW beds!!! They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfy. If I wasn't at WDW, I wouldn't have wanted to get up in the morning!

The beds at the Dolphin are great. We had a standard room & had plenty of extra space available.

We stayed at the Dolphin last August and then the Swan over New Year's. We preferred the larger queen size at the Swan. I know you are only talking about a few inches but for some reason my family really noticed. For example my 17 year old daughter felt so cramped at the Dolphin, after the first night she slept in the floor. But also everyone in my family has a queen bed at home so I think it is just what you are use to.

After "making up my mind" (ha!) to stay at the CR, I am now considering the Swan or Dolphin for our Sept/Oct trip.

Anyway, I came across some info. on a website that said the beds at the Dolphin are just ONE inch "smaller" than a queen. I don't know if they mean in length or in width, or both.

Does anyone know if they have started upgrading the beds at the Dolphin?

BettyC, That's what the Swan/Dolphin reservations told us when we stayed at the Dolphin a couple of years ago. They said even though the width was one inch less, they had to call them double beds. We didn't notice any difference.

We, DH and I, stayed at the Dolphin and managed with the double - DH and I have a king at home. However, our 2 DS teens could not share the bed. They took turns sleeping on the floor.
