Pretty much all hotels and resorts have adjoining rooms - that's just rooms that are next to or near each other (notable exception being Fort Wilderness Cabins )
All properties with adjoining rooms - including, technically, DVC - have some connecting rooms: side-by-side rooms with a set of doors on an inside wall that, when unlocked by the parties in both rooms, allow all persons in both rooms access to both rooms.
We stayed at the Swan couple years ago and had adjoining rooms. One had king bed for us and the other had queen beds for the two teenage girls. This is what I had requested.
