Swan Airport Transportation

We are staying at BWV in October, at the end of our trip we're going to rent a car at the Swan and drive to see friends in Sarasota for a few days before returning the car back to the Swan. We'll then need transportation back to MCO because I am aware you can't use DME outside your reservation window.

Other than Uber/Lyft or a car service do we have any other options for airport transportation ??

Minor point, car rental pick up is at the Dolphin.

You might try pricing out a rental to pick up at the Dolphin then return to MCO. We picked up at the Dolphin and did a return to the St. Petersburg Airport, pretty good rate through Costco.

Just to avoid any confusion, the Alamo/National rental counter is across the way at the Dolphin.

Mears shared shuttles would be another option for transportation to MCO. They may/may not make an additional stop or two on the way to the airport.

SteveH, I did look at a return to the airport, but a first glance they added about $200.00 to the rental, but that may still be an option.

Just for fun a tossed in some dates in the Costco rental car system, rate was $128. If you're a Costco member their rates are hard to beat I've found

Unfortunately, we are not members, closest one to us is about an hour away. I just did a quick rate check with National from Dolphin, return to Dolphin $286 vs return to MCO $503 (mid-size car) so, I'll keep looking into it. Thinking Uber may be the easiest option.

Another option...have you priced out renting from MCO, returning to MCO? You can take DME back to the airport, get your car and then go on your way. It might be cheaper that way.
If you end up renting at the Dolphin, and returning there, your options for transportation back to MCO are a cab, car service, Uber/Lyft, or Mears.

I thought about it, but it's a lot of wasted time ( at least 2 1/2 hours ) and it's in the opposite direction, if it was on the way I'd probably go with that option. I'm thinking we'll probably use Uber or a cab.

I know you don't have a Costco that close to you, but if you purchased a gold membership for $60, you would still save money on a car rental.

Are you driving Direct to MCO from Sarasota ?

If you are then rent the car for say 5 days & enjoy yourselves ..... take your friends out in your rental car .

The journey from Sarasota to MCO is a straight run of about less than 3 hours I -4 to Hwy 417


No need to go back to The Swan / Dolphin
