Sorry Swan or Dolphin LOL.

Hello does anyone have any advice on whether the Swan or Dolphin is a better choice?

I know when I was last at Disney we took a boat to Epcot and the boat stopped at one of them but I do not remember which one. Is one a little closer to Epcot Resorts or does one have a boat stop and the other does not. I have some family members staying at Beach Club and wonder if there is any difference in proximity between the two.

Any information would be appreciated.

Swan is a Westin, Dolphin is a Sheraton. Boat stops directly between the two of them. Swan is a 2 minute walk closer to the Boardwalk and Hollywood Studios, Dolphin is a 2 minute walk closer to Epcot. Dolphin has more restaurants, Swan was completely redone last year. I don't know what the sale of Starwood will do to them in the future (I honestly don't remember if the deal happened or not).

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much! Yes it really does help. Just the information I was looking for :)

I would highly recommend the Swan over the Dolphin. I have stayed at both and much prefer the Swan. All of the rooms were recently renovated and they are really wonderful. The Swan also has more of a family resort feel than the Dolphin which is quite cavernous and feels like more like a convention resort. The Swan/Dolphin share a really nice pool/recreation area and the dock for the Friendship boats. Though the Dolphin is slightly geographically closer than the Swan, because of the way the pathway is designed at the Dolphin (wending around a waterway), you may really only shave off a minute of your walk time to BC. You can always simply take the Swan/Dolphin boat to BC/YC as well.

Swan rooms were just newly renovated. They have king or two queens, rooms accommodate a max of 4 guests, swan is smaller, closer to Boardwalk

Dolphin is still doing their renovations. They have a king or 2 doubles, rooms accommodate a max of 5 guests, dolphin has more restaurants, the laundry facilities and it a little closer to the grotto pool.

Personally I prefer swan too but many people will like dolphin better.

One small addition to lizabu's thoughts is that Picabu (cafeteria style restaurant with a small store) at the Dolphin is open 24 hours if that matters to you. My personal preference is the Swan, but would stay at whichever resort had better rates.

I agree with the above post - whichever has lower rates! If the Swan is close to the Dolphin cost, that's a deal. The Swan is always more.

I think of them as the same resort because it's easy to walk between them to get to the restaurant or store you want to visit and aesthetically they have similar designs. The Swan is smaller and more intimate, the Dolphin is very large and airy.

You can't go wrong with either, IMO. Enjoy!!
