SWA unused travel funds

Our family has $184 in Unused travel funds with SWA. There are 4 names on the reservation.
I am traveling with my sister in September. The SWA says I can only used the amount of unused funds that were in my name alone, and not the combined amount.

Is there a way around this? I would like to use all $184 just on me.

No longer possible, I'm sorry. SWA changed their policy a few months ago...now you can only use credits in your name. Bummer, I know.

Unless something changed very recently, Southwest has not yet implemented that new rule. Someone reported here within the past week or so that they used funds in several different names to book a ticket for another person so I think it's still possible to do what you want.

The wording on their site still says you can't, but you can.

When this new rule was announced, I took the funds that we had (for four family members), booked a fake flight with them for myself, and then cancelled the flight. That way the funds were in my name only.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to use them... so now I have $140 worth of credits that I can't use... anyone want to buy them?

Thanks so much. It just applied all credits from all 4 names. So glad I asked.

Is there a way to extend the credit online or do I have to call?
