How do I know where my flight "stops"? Our flight from Cle-Mco has one stop but one flight number. Where will we stop? How long will be on the ground?

Chances are Baltimore or Nashville.

You will usually be on the ground for about 20 minutes.

That's Southwest's goal. We have done the PVD-PHL-MCO route and everytime except 1, we were there for no more than 20 minutes.

Your flight itinerary should state the airports in between...I noticed on the SW site when I was searcing for a flight to DL...it said #of stops...1...but when I got to the screen to price it, the only stop it made was in SNA...so it was actually a nonstop flight I was looking at when I thought it would have one stop between our home airport and the SNA airport. It will also list the arrival and departure time if there is an additional stop, so that will give you an estimate.

Hope this helps!

Call them and ask, they can tell you all the specifics. They don't always list the citys where you stop without a plane change. Our flight from Orlando listed 2 stops but only 1 city was listed and it was Albuquerque(spelling, its late?) but then we stopped in Vegas to load and unload, we never got off the plane and were on the ground roughly 25 minutes.

Yes we take this 'touchdown' flights sometimes. They just pull up to the gate and nobody gets off. It's just long enough to load passengers on then they back up and off we go.I don't mind those flights at all.Just adds around 25 minutes to the time...not too bad.

The place that the touchdowns get interesting is with states that are physically connected to Texas. I think it is called the "Wright" act (not sure) but if a SW flight lands in a neighboring state to Texas then all the passengers must get off and get back in line to board the same plane they were on. It seems kinda silly, but we witnessed it in Albuquerque in January.

check out website flightaware.com

use the middle grid "track commercial flight"
it will display the last flight segment, but if you scroll down, you'll see the last 14 fights or segments. This will show you the airport it stops at and give you some history so you can see how ontime the flight is. The times are wheels up to wheels down (air time only), which means you don't see the taxi times.

The current schedule has 3 flights from Cleveland that don't change planes.
