SWA problem with getting seperate confirmation numbers

I currently have all 5 people in our family under one confirmation number and I called today to split it up and get each person their own confirmation number so I could print out boarding passes next month.
The agent told me that since the fare had gone up $10 since I bought the tickets, she would have to charge me $10/pp in order to split up the ressie and give us each our own confirmation number. No way did I want to spend an extra $50 just to be able to print out passes so I guess we'll just have to hope that we get to the airport early enough to get A or B passes.
I was so annoyed because I wasn't rebooking, I just wanted to be able to print out boarding passes. Has this happened to anyone else?

Call back and try again. As we all know, or do learn quickly, is that you get different answers from different people.
I booked on a discount code that came out (one time use only) and I called and had the reservations split with no problem.

I booked on-line and got a super rate for July for 3 of us. I called about 2 weeks ago to get separate reservation #s and had no problem and no additional charge.

Did the airfare increase between the time you booked and the time you called?

When I separated my ressie the lowest fare (which I had paid) was no longer available and I was able to split my ressies without a problem..This was done on June 1.
