Wow what a difference with the point increase.
Yesterday a flight priced at $178 was 8200 points and today with their new price increase 10,158!

If you missed getting your tickets before the increase SWA is having a 30% off sale on buying additional points. THe sale ends 4/9/14

good reminder, imo still one of the most user -friendly programs.

Hoping they get the merger 100% in place before year-end and rethink their current policy on AT to SWA point transfers:wizard:. Have yet to receive an answer as to what is going to happen to those who have AT credits but not enough to qualify for a full RT on SWA.:confused3

makes a huge difference!! So glad I booked DD flights before the increase. Paid 10380 RT and its over 12000 now. I'm taking the family to WDW next year and was hoping to have at least 4 of the 7 flights on points, now maybe not!!! :scared1:

I was able to easily convert my AT rewards to SWA> I did it myself online

Trying to find where the 30% off sale on points is? Do you have a link?

thanks, I'm familiar with the point conversion (switched over old SWA ones to AT when it first started). My issue now is I don't have the full 16 credits to trigger the RT on SWA.

Many are hoping when the system finally does become one, that SWA will do something for those of us who don't quite have the full complement...hey, it could happen lol.

Everybody didn't receive an email with a link for the 30% discount. My DH received the discount offer & 1,000 bonus points. I received nothing.:rolleyes2We both have reward accounts and SWA credit cards, appears to be a targeted promotion. If you log into your rewards account you can check your point balance/activity, then go to purchase points where it will state if you have the discount.

I got my flights booked for October yesterday, so glad I saw the reminder of this situation, here on DISboards. Saved me around 5000 points (2RT tickets).

Interesting tidbit:

I booked a flight last week - when it was 60pts/$.

I changed one of my legs today.

I was expecting a credit of the points I originally "paid" (7255/pp) and then a debit of the the points cost of the new flight at the 70pts/$ rate (9767) for a net cost of 2512 points.

But I did it over the phone and I was very pleasantly surprised when she told me the difference was going to be 1,116 points! That was the difference in the points-cost of the flights at the old, 60pts/$ rate.

That's pretty darn fair!

It makes me wish I had booked "proxy" flights for another trip later this year even though we'd have had to totally guess at the dates, though.
