SWA - originating or connecting?

I have flown SWA 3x out of Philly and had good experiences all 3 times. Love going online to get boarding passes and don't mind standing in the boarding line if need be and my dd's are worried about sitting alone. After having our seats reassigned to many times on the legacy airlines its ok with us to wait in line to get seats with my dd's. (Oh and yes we booked months, sometimes 9+ in advance on the legacies)

So - evidently I have been lucky in that all the Philly to MCO flights I have flown so far have originated out of Philly and the A pass got us three seats together.

Is there a way I can check our flights to see if people will already be aboard when we board? IE - a connecting flight through Philly vs a flight originating from Philly?

SW usually has the same flight #'s for the same flights every day. IE. we are on flight 900 on a saturday in September. This Saturday, the same flight is ALSO flight 900. So, what you can do is, somewhere on the SW site you can check flight status. Go on there on the same day as your flight (ie I would check on a Saturday for mine), enter the flight number. It should give you the flight itinerary and if it is on time or not, but it will show you the departure and arrival times and locations. You would use the arrival information part. Put in Philly as the arrival city and your flight number. If it starts anywhere else, it will tell you. If it comes up invalid, you know it originates in Philly. KWIM??

Sorry for the convoluted answer. I can never simplify anything, which is why I never give people direction. Always make it twice as complicated as it should be!

Just CALL SWA and ask!
