Just flew this weekend from DTW - MDW - MCO and our friend flew CLE - MDW - MCO on SWA.
We decided to take our chances and check in at DTW when we got there and forego online check in. We arrived at DTW 90 minutes early, checked in at the counter and got "A" passes for the DTW - MDW leg AND we got our *A* boarding passes printed out for the MDW - MCO leg AT THE SAME TIME !!!!! No more getting off the plane and looking for a kiosk to print out boarding passes at my connections!
Our friend used the online checkin at a few minutes past midnight and got "A" passes for BOTH of his flights!
On the way home, we got to MCO 2 hours early and the line at the SWA counter was L O N G. Curbside was L O N G, too. So we used the kiosk in the terminal to check in and got *B* passes for the MCO - DTW flight (stopover at BNA but didn't change planes) and our friend got his *B* pass for the MCO - BNA segment and an *A* boarding pass for the BNA - CLE segment. We then went back outside to curbside check in to check our luggage.
I am very happy that SWA now has the upgrades to print out all flight segments! This sure solves a few headaches!
There was NO preboarding yesterday other than handicapped
