SWA, online check in and skycaps? Help?

We are flying SWA for the first time in about 2 weeks. As we are travelling with children too old to preboard but too young to sit alone (ages 4 and 6) I am really concerned about getting this right.

We plan to check in online and print our boarding passes once at the airport (both MHT and MCO) using the self-serve kiosk.

We always have luggage to check, and we are used to utilizing the services of the skycaps at MCO, rather than waiting in line inside the terminal at the counter. (Opinions differ, but the spending the $$ to tip these guys is well worth it to us personally.)

If we show up at MCO having already checked in, but with no printed pass (b/c we won't have a printer), can we still utilize the sky cap? Will they print it for us, and do we have to go the the kiosk first anyway?

Also -- what is the reservation number? This six sigit combo of letters and numbers they call a "confirmation number?? Just the one number for all four of my family's tix?

Thanks!

I have read somewhere on these boards that the front desk CM will print your boarding pass/confirmation for you free of charge. I hope this is true because we are flying SW for the first time in June! It does hurt to call and ask.

age of 4 should qualify for pre boarding....unless they supspend pre boarding since there are too many .....sometimes happens

I will call. We will be offsite. Thanks!

We always check in online (DH brings his laptop) and use the skycaps. They will print your boarding passes for you.

I also have read that the lobby concierge can print them for you, but if you plan to use the skycap service anyway, just know that they print them for you when they tag your luggage.

Happy travels,

We were told the same thing when speaking with a SWA agent a few days ago.
