SWA on line checking and checked luggage

I have been attempting to find this subject on a search but no luck.

Is a person with "luggage to be checked" able to do on line check in? If so, how does the luggage get checked in?
Leaving tomorrow night, so hoping for a speedy answer. Thanks.

Yes.

You can check in online even if you have to check luggage. You can check your luggage with the skycap or go into the terminal. We usually use the skycap. I know at MCO they have kiosks set up, you put in your Locator number and the system knows you already checked in, it asks if you have luggage to check in and how many pieces. The Cust. Serv. people behind the desk will tag the luggage.
