Is there a way to know what type of Boeing jet I will be on in July? Flying out of Phila. I know there are three types of 737: 300, 500 & 700. I was curious and wanted to know now.

I don't think there's a way to tell...but why are you wanting to know? The only difference is in the exit row configuration. In all planes, one window seat on the row just behind the exit row that has no seat in front of it. On some (500 series) that seat is on the left side of the plane (when facing forward) and on others, that seat is on the right side. On the 500 series, the exit row is row 10 - on all others, it's row 11.

You can go to flightstats.com to get the type of aircraft scheduled for the flight. Look for extended flight details.

The configuration on the 300's and 700's is the same. The 500 is slightly smaller but is not prevalent in the system.

Type 737-300 737-500 737-700

Number
of AC 172 25 340

Seats 137 122 137
