We booked our flights using the $25 SWA code...the fares went down today (actual fares, not a DING). How do I cancel and rebook using the code? Can we use the same code or do I need to use a new one? DH is online and has gotten to a point that show the difference on the new fares vs. the old fares, but we don't see a place to add the $25 code? Any help would be appreciated. TIA. :)

once the code is used, it seems to evaporate, thus you cannot make changes and get the benefit of the code reduction

you will have to have a new code to put in a "New Booking Promo" box in order to take advantage

we are still waiting for our code and it has been over a week now....they does not seem to be a rhyme nor reason to how the final code from southwest arrives...some get it others do not, the invitation part of the Share Florida campaign is the easiest part.....

We do have another *new* code..but we couldn't figure out how to cancel, book with the new fares and apply a new code. DH finally called and they told us it couldn't be done. We could rebook the lower fares, but we couldn't apply a new $25 code.

in that case, you could "cancel" the previous booking

you will get "electronic funds" refund connected to that Confirmation number and name of buyer

you then would rebook, and the promo window will appear, that would be where you put in the "new" code

during the purchase process, they will ask if you want to use "electronic funds"

they then take the cost of the new flights from those funds

you will probably have some "monies" left over on those electronic funds, which can be used for future flights up to one year beyond the date of the original purchase

Thank you very much for your help. I just did exactly what you said and it worked! I was able to get my $90.00 credit. :goodvibes

Southwest makes it easy to cancel and rebook

and in this case you did have another code to use which is BONUS

and of course since you have credit available you are likely to book something with them in the future

on a side note, these funds can be used by anyone if you so desire, it is just a matter of having the confirmation number and name of buyer when the funds are redeemed....thus, other family members could use them if you are not able to....

they can be extended beyond the original date but it costs something like 50$ for a six month extension I think

How did you get a $25 promo? Was it through e-mail or something special you got individually? (Just curious - trying to get out of driving in September :goodvibes)
