SWA Fare Watch

Oh well, after all that waiting and calling and waiting and calling, we needed 8/6. Guess we have to do it again next month.

As to SW giving credit, we have always had a credit back to our credit card with no problem.

Whew! A long wait but I got my MDW to MCO tickets at $175. Same price that I had with ATA before they cancelled flights to MCO from MDW after March.

Does anyone think these are great rates? IT is saying 144 one way from MCI TO MCO. I went last year for 212 a person. At this rate it would be 288. Now what do I do?
They hopefully will have a promo soon from MCI to MCO and then all the seats will fill. We haven't had a good promo price column for quite a while, just internet prices.

It was well woth the wait for us. Eight people travelling from Portland OR to MCO from June 13-June 25th. Total $1780.00. Can't come close anywhere else. YEAH!!

first dates became unavailble while entering info. Scored rt tix from Indy to MCO for 136.00, July 10-21. Yipee

Well, I'm glad I went ahead and booked with American, they are $30 cheaper than SW and I get a non-stop instead of a 3 hour layover. Hope the rest of you have better luck!

Well... I had partial luck... actually, I should say that DH did. As I predicted in my previous post, I was on the mtn with my kids. I had sent DH an email and gave him all the info and asked him to book. We changed our flight home from SNA to LAX.... it turned out to save us over $400. So that was good. We are flying LAX to MHT for $104/pp.... BUT our MHT to ABQ was $197! YIKES... I really anticipated that it would be closer to $100 (based on historical data).... but I will be keeping my eyes open for sales. We are planning a WDW trip for Jan 2006, so we would have no trouble using SWA credits!...............P

I can't complain. I wasn't looking for a super sale, just something under $200 from PHL to MCO for July 8th-15th, non-stop. I got 6 rt tix for $176.90 each thru SW today. I've been waiting forever. USair out of PHL and Spirit out of AC were 209 & 205 each. I'm happy. Good luck to everyone else.

us too Sheri.......we fly PHL to MCO....we wait for that $79 fare from SW each time.....saves a LOT of money! 3 of can fly rt for $530 vs. about $650 on usair....i hate usair!!!!! :snooty:

...sigh.....

We just need more competition in the Detroit market. The days I need from DTW - MCO SWA is no cheaper than $306 r/t per person and that is NOT a non-stop. NWA can beat em....$306.40 AND it's a non-stop.

I got our 6 tickets to Spokane but they haven't released beyond Aug 3 and our return is August 9th!!!!

I spoke with two agents and they did admit it was a bit unusual to not have more dates listed yet but blamed it on the merge with ATA and some unsettled routes etc.

Hope we can get a good return fare! All the cheap tickets were gone for two of the three flights to Spokane on our departure day and she told me that these flights had been listed only 28 minutes earlier!!!

Good luck everyone!

Looks like we will be flying Montana :rotfl: . These prices are really pretty high out of STL. Not that we have much of an airport anymore. AA went up to $469 this am. They have got to be kidding! SW is better but still to high to justify not driving. DH will be so happy as he prefers to drive but I am sad as I would much rather fly! I'll keep watching maybe they'll come down a bit! Congrats to everyone who got the good rates! :goodvibes

DisneyCrazyMom,

If you are in STL, you could fly out of STL-Midway with TMA airlines to Orlando-Sanford. Their prices right now are $70ppone way. Not too shabby. I live in Springfield, and unless we get some good air here or SW comes up with something good, I will definitely consider TMA for our sept trip.

With SW, 305.40 pp from MCI to MCO RT. That is the most we have paid with SW ever! Here's hoping for a fare-reduction!

Thanks for the link vossjemi. I have thought about it, but since we literally live at the airport it kills me to drive to another one. I will keep it in mind though!

I'm with you! I called SW last night, on the hope that maybe I could find out something, and the reservationist knew nothing. Was surprised that the One-Ways from MCI were "only" $144 online, as they were $151 in her system. I was quoted $333.60 per person from MCI to MCO. :earseek: Delta may very well get our business if SW doesn't come down. Delta's gone up the past couple of weeks but they're still only $226 a person.

I can't believe that there won't be a sale. I have NEVER flown on a SWA flight that was not full and the planes are not filling up at these prices. If we hold out, I think SWA will come through.
