SWA discontinuing service 8/30 to MCO

From SWA's website...

We will discontinue our scheduled flight service to/from MCO after 8:50 AM ET, Wednesday, August 30. We tentatively plan to resume scheduled service after 8:55 PM ET, Wednesday, August 30. Our ability to restart MCO operations will be contingent upon the storm’s movement; the condition of the airport; as well as the subsequent conditions of the airport runways and airport services.

Maybe since the storm appears to be falling apart they will not cancel? I hope so for anyone travelling this week!

I'm supposed to be taking the 6:55am flight from BWI to MCO on Thursday. I'm really hoping that everything will be resuming and on schedule. I'm getting pretty nervous to fly down. Hopefully we can fly far around whatever is left of Ernesto.

We are flying Thursday morning at 710. I just spoke to Becky from SWA and she said exactly what the first post did. Service is supposed to resme tomorrow night.

I assume all flights Thursday will be extremely crowded due to this. I checked SWA reservations and our flight is now completely booked.

Our flight is now showing totally booked. Does Southwest hold the rest of the seats from being booked for those people that were to fly today?
