SWA check-in for return flight?

We will be flying SWA soon and I need some help. I know to check in 24 hours prior to leaving from home, but am having a hard time figuring out how to do so for our return flight home.

We do not have smart phones and are hoping to be in the park still at the 24 hour period prior to our flight home. Besides bringing an iPad into the park that day and stopping somewhere to check in, how can we do this?

We are staying on site and using MDE. Will the hotel be able to check us in or do we need to do something?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Early Bird Check In!

We do it for all our return flights. We don't want to worry about taking time out from out day's activities to manually check in.

If u don't do EB early bird ck in with Sw, you should be prepared to ck in each of the travelers at that 24 hr mark. Unless u don't care about seating all separately and last to board. Sw also does have a limit on printed out boarding passes, so if u wait, u may have to do it at the airport. To avoid all that, add the EB and go about ur day. Then print at airport or at front desk just before u leave. Have a great trip

Do the early bird check in. It will automatically check you in at 36 hours and then you can print your boarding passes anytime after the 24 hour mark.

It's 12.50 per person, well worth it.

  1. Purchase EBCI for return only so you do not have to check-in. As others have posted, well worth the investment.
  2. Use your tablet, log onto the free WDW Wi-Fi, and check-in at T-24. This is a pain if you are in queue or on a ride.
  3. Wait until you get back to your resort. Some people aren't too concerned about getting the coveted "A" group boarding and don't necessarily have to sit together. If this describes you, no worries!
  4. Ask someone at home (Dad, Sis, neighbor, etc) to check you in. Give them your confirmation number and check-in time and have them do it online. They don't have print out anything, just check you in. You print the boarding passes later at resort or airport.

I'll be redundant, but yes, buy EBCI for everyone! It's the best thing since sliced bread when at WDW. No worries about being near a computer (or Guest Services!) at the 24 hr window. Just go about your fun. SW will check you in at the 36 hr window....getting you, most likely, a better boarding spot than those checking themselves in at the 24 hr mark.
Then, if you use RAC for checked bags, you can just get boarding passes printed there. Or, if not, get them printed at MCO. SW has self service kiosks just for that purpose.

Looks like most of the options have been covered.

I like the idea of having someone do the checkin for you at home. As others have mentioned, you don't need to print the boarding pass when you checkin. You can get that at the airport at a kiosk or when you check your luggage.

If you can't do the above, like others, I'd spring for EBCI if its important to you that you sit together.

Thanks for the help. Those are all great suggestions. We will probably go with the EBCI to make it simple.
