SWA boarding

If I have a family of 4 and I have a boarding pass 'B' what are the chances we can still sit 3 in one row and one in the seat across the aisle? Or are we looking at 4 singles?

When I have flown on SW, I have always had an A boarding group. But, with the preboarders getting there first, it made it difficult for my dd and I to find a middle/window seat combination until we got back past the wing.
I remember that the B's boarding later were able to get seats together, but towards the rear of the plane. But, I can't say what their seating situations were...I just remember that no one seemed to be put out. You may have to split up..two and two, but that shouldn't be an issue. I don't think you'll have to sit singly though.
The other thing to remember is that with the changes to SW boarding, it will make a difference what number within the boarding group you have....someone holding a B3 pass, with the others in his group holding B4, B5, and B6, will most likely be able to find three across and one on the aisle. But...if they had a B24, B25, B26, B27..the chances would diminish greatly. So it would behoove people to get on line as soon as humanly possible. But, I don't think those changes are coming until early November.

The other factor that comes into play is if the flight is starting out at the airport where you are boarding or if it originated at another airport and is stopping at yours. If it's the latter, there probably will be people already on the plane when it arrives and that will take up more seats in addition to the preboarders and the As. If it's starting at your airport, that's not an issue.

We had Bs about mid way in the line and had plenty of choices to sit together 5 across for our trip to Vero. I had just forgot to check-in the day before as i wasn't into the trip to much.

Remember it's about 44 As 44 Bs and the rest Cs.

So try to get their a a little early and get as close to the front of the Bs as you can.

I was a few people back in the B line in April and it was pretty empty behind the exit rows in the back of the plane.

We had B's a couple weeks ago and were the 3rd group in the B line (8 people in front of us). Pre-boards were "average" in number. We got one of the last open rows for the 3 of us, towards the back of the plane. There were several rows with 2 seats available so that may be an option for you. We got to the gate and sat down in the B line about an hour before the flight....

Our flight TO Orlando was only 40% full, so we headed to the back and each grabbed a row, stretched out and got a little sleep (it was an early flight). There were probably 10 of us that got our own rows like that......
