SWA APRIL watch

Here is a question. What do you do if you are flying into Orlando in late march and returning in early April?

Do you book one way for March and wait for April fares to get posted, or do you book roundtrip when April fares become available?

That is exactly what I decided to do. It took me 24 hours to make up my mind and when I decided to go and buy the one way tickets with no return yet, the flight time I wanted was up to $252 per person one way. I booked a later hour and still got my $117 per person.

Now I check every day for those April return flights!! Good luck! It seems they are going faster then usual!!

If SW opens April dates today, what time should it show up? It still says March 31st on the website.

Usually around 11:00 CST, but I haven't heard any buzz about the schedule being extended today. I think we need to wait until the beginning of Dec.

I agree. We're flying SW this weekend and heard that April fares may be released around the end of November.

Hi All! I'm waiting for April too. Am I missing something? I've never booked my own flights before so I'm a little confused. Do the fares continually increase the longer they are posted? MEaning if someone books a flight at 9:00 am and someone else comes along at 11:00am the price could be different? It seems like such a crapshoot! Also, I hear people posting they got a great price of $179, $189 etc rt but I can't even find a quote close to that. Am I not in the know about something. Please let me in the know!!! LOL!! I'm so excited, scared, nervous about planning this trip. It's craziness! But I can't wait!!

I am thinking that the schedule listed on the first page is what will be pretty accurate. Look for the fares to come out the first week in December. But let's keep our eyes peeled until then.

Random question for any SW experts... My April trip actually ends in May. so when April is released should I book a one way and then add my return trip when May is released? Any thoughts?

I would. In Dec. '03, SWA opened up to May 8. In Dec. '04, SWA opened up to June 6. You might get the first part of May.
