hi folks! I'm looking for someone who knows...
I've been waiting to buy our tics for January until we have a little more money in the account, and have been eyeing tics from Southwest or Airtran -- they used to be available on the sites for 79 or 84 a leg -- so our total for the three of us was going to work out to $500 and something.

well, all the sudden it seems like all the cheapie fares are gone! Have I missed the boat -- did I have to get them awhile back and I just didn't know it?

and do I need to go ahead and buy now while I can still get our three tics for about 750 (yuck), or will they go down.

clueless here...

Hi
I was in the same boat as you a while back. I started looking for our tickets for our dec trip back in june. The cheapest on Airtran was $99 o/w. The flight that we wanted back was $314. o/w (it was the last nonstop out of mco). I said I'll wait and see. I checked a couple of weeks later and that $314. flt went down to $99. I booked it then! I figured it could go lower, but then I take the chance that the last flt will go back up in price! I check every now and then to see if the priceswent down, but I don't think Airtran will give you a credit like SWA. .P.S. we are flying out of PHL.
