SWA Airlines - Price dropping

Hello fellow Canadians - just a quick note to let you know that SWA has dropped there prices again and we are flying from Buffalo for $451.20 US for 6 of us.

It sure pays to fly from the US - Canadian airlines are going to have to smarten up soon.

Chasbos!!!!Thanks a million for the info. I almost booked my flight on SWA out of Buffalo yesterday am for $620.00. Today I saw your post and jumped to the SWA site-the same flight is now $300.80 for all four of us, non stop!!!! How incredibly awesome is that!?!? I love Disboards, I always get the best info.Thanks again so very much-I am tap dancing thinking of what we can do with the extra $$$$!

wow!! You guys are soooooo lucky. We are paying more than that per person. We could drive 8 hours to Minn but the flights aren't all that much cheaper than what we are paying anyways with gas and having to spend a night there. I keep telling DH that once we retire we are going to have to move to Ont to take advantage of thier cheaper flights, lol as we love to travel.

I got mine for 26.98 each as well!!! $75 round trip is JUST AMAZING!!!!!!!!
The 1st thing I said as soon as I woke up after I booked it the next morning is WOW $27.00.. my Dh looked at me like I was crazy, I was just in disbelief!!!!

it is such a good price.. I got 366 for 5 of us, and I checked canjet out of Hamilton just for fun yesterday.. $2,931 would be that price!!!

Don't you just love these boards? We would still be driving down to the Port thinking that flying was way too expensive for 6 people. I would have never known that I could get the cheaper fare after I had already booked and paid for my flights.

What a wonderful community we have here on the Disboards!

Thanks for the notice of SWA. I went ahead and booked today for Jan 4 to Jan 12th. My DH doesn't know if he can get the time off yet, however I couldn't pass up the cheap flights. At least now we know for sure we are going, well me and the kids anyway!
I guess I'll tell my boss tomorrow when I go in, what my holidays are for next year!
I'm so looking forward to it. Now the kids can stop asking when we are going back!
I got $376 for all 5 of us!!! That is such a great price!

price. These prices seem like a steal. Sure hope I get such great prices. what is swa website?

Yeah - me too, me too! The online rate showed 45/pp/eachway (lower than my original $79, so I figured I could save about $60) but I called them this morning because I couldn't figure out how to rebook online and not lose my original tickets (duh LOL). Anyway, the girl says $29 wow - and I'm on the other end going what?what? for my dates????!!!! and she double checks and lo and behold - there it is, grand total $225 for the 3 of us - I saved $300. I can't believe how cheap SWA is - our trip on Westjet out of Pearson is still $1165. How can it be that by driving 1 1/2hrs to Buffalo I am saving $940??? Seems pretty weird - but it's like you hear, on any given flight people may be paying anywhere from $100 to $1000 per ticket - and for once I feel like I got the best deal!!

So, Dutch's Mommy, does that mean that you have a credit with SWA? Or an actual refund? And if it is a credit, how soon does it have to be used? Will you be trekking to WDW for an extra trip?

LOL - we are actually WDW newbies so if all goes well perhaps I can talk DH into another run down - and if not perhaps an all girls weekend to Pleasure Island?!? The credit has to be used within a year from when you first purchased the tickets I think, so in our case I have to use the $300 by October '05. However, a little mousy told me that by calling a SWA direct number they should be able to refund me the difference (thanks mousy) - which at this time of year I could really use. So, I'll see how that goes. Worse case scenario, who doesn't need an excuse to travel?!

The credit that I got back today went to pay OFF my room... so that is paid in full now... I figured I had already paid for my flight so this is a great way to use my credit up!
