Same here....March is double what it cost me last year. At that price I can't afford to go. It is currently sitting at $287 each way and since I'm Canadian I have to add on another 35% for the exchange rate.

Yikes. Well that was no fun. Refreshing for two hours then really high fares the second they were released. Hoping to forget this harrowing experience by the time my trip rolls around in March. Ooch. My wallet won't forget!

I started refreshing at 4:30, then finally called at 7:15 and was able to book by phone although dates weren't yet open on internet. They opened about an hour later but rates were already much higher. Doesn't seem right.

They lost my business.... I just booked JetBlue -- even with paying for the luggage, JetBlue was still a LOT cheaper.

On SW, BUF/MCO is $287 each way. That's too high for me.

Curious.....was anyone able to book any of the flights that are saying Sold Out? If so, anything cheaper than $285 per leg? I did book since we are cruising and have to get there, but hoping they drop and can get a credit.......this is insane!

Nope--I ended up pulling the trigger with American for $1368 total for 3 of us. On SW that is less than I would have paid for two of us, even with baggage fees. We are cruising too but theses prices are nuts.

Hmmm ... not sure which is scarier, the prices or the 5:25am departure time for the only non-stop flight on the way down.

Yep - the prices are way up there - even into Tampa. Since I have 7 flying trying to find the best way. I had a feeling that spring break would be high but not this high.

Just looked at Spirit (can only see our outbound date so far), but it is no better! By the time luggage fees get added in, it would be higher. Flew over Spring Break 2 years ago and only paid $325 pp total on SW! This year $566 pp.......will be watching regularly and hoping for a drop!

I called as a prior poster mentioned they had called before the rates posted online and were cheaper. Turns out the phone price is the same as the online price for our dates. I did go poking around, though , and some weekdays near our dates (3/27-4/2) are fully loaded into the system and the prices are as low as $120 each way, compared to the 28o it's showing on our dates. I'm hoping that once everything finally does load, the prices will drop, at least a bit.

Wow! I knew Southwest was popular but I didn't expect it would be sold out. I got up 6 a.m. (PST) and it was all sold out! I called Southwest last night to ask when booking window opens and they said 8 a.m. central time. Only for customer service to apologize profusely to me and say that they should never give out an exact time because the website can be loaded "at any time." I didn't realize people would be staying up all night waiting for it to come on line. I guess live and learn. Bummer!

The fares from Milwaukee to MCO are ridiculous too for travel the few days before and after Good Friday and returning the following weekend. Unfortunately, when you have teachers in the family there isn't much flexibility. These fares are over $100 more each way than they were for Easter break last year.

I booked at the high fare but am hoping that they will come down as the schedule is fully loaded.

BTW, I also called as soon as I got up at 6 AM and they had the schedule, but the fares were just as high as the ones they released online. So, I don't think calling was going to save any money.

I also just booked at the high price. At least our flight down was not bad. But we have to get home some how.
