When we landed on Saturday night our plane was hit by a fuel tanker truck as we were on the way to the jet ramp. The truck got stuck under the wing. Could have been a really bad situation, but thankfully the truck was able to get out from under the wing and retreat to a safe distance.

Anyway, we were all sent $100 vouchers. We aren't planning to fly until December of 2012. The vouchers will expire 10/24/12. Can these type of vouchers be extended? I thought that I had read that you could extend vouchers for $50 a piece at one time. Does that still exist and does this apply to these type of vouchers?

HOLY SMOKES :scared1:

Glad the situation wasn't worse. Yikes.

My only suggestion would be to call the airline, which is where you'll (hopefully) get the most definitive answer.

1-800-IFLYSWA???

Do the Vouchers say that travel must occur by that date? or they must be used by that date? i'm wondering if you could use them to buy your tickets since you'd likely end up purchasing it further out than 2months before your scheduled date.

They say that travel must be completed by 10/24/12, however I spoke to a rep today that told me these could be extended with no problem and no charge. So we are good for December 2012!
