My DH and DS had Ticketless Funds that expired in January. Four of us will be flying 11/30 and 12/7. I'd like to extend those funds and use them for that trip, but in order to do that, I'd have to wait until at least 5/30 to extend them. Meanwhile, I'm a little nervous about the flight prices and availability for 11/30 disappearing. (That's the Saturday after Thanksgiving.) Can I buy tickets now, and then on/after 5/30 (after I extend) cancel that itinerary and rebook using the vouchers? Will this "save" the same price for me? Or at least "save the seats" for me? (I'd have two tabs open so I can do the switch quickly.) Other thoughts? I know that when I cancel that original itinerary, I'd then have travel funds to use. Aaarrggh!

I'm assuming, also, that the vouchers (there are two, $215 and $35) can be used by two people on separate tickets. The tickets are $167. Could I use part of the $215 on one ticket, and the rest on a second ticket (not on the same itinerary)?

First, it's going to cost you $100 each to extend the Ticketless Travel Funds.
Buying tickets now, then canceling those tickets, won't save a price for you; you'd have to pay the ticket price at the time of (new) purchase. That could be higher, lower, or the same. It won't save seats for you either, although if you do all transactions in succession it's unlikely the flight will have sold out.
Vouchers can only be used by the person to whom they were issued.

Thank you. I knew about the fee (it's $75 for each extension). My plan was to do it in rapid succession, as in having two windows open, much like I used to do it to get lower prices. My problem is that no one in the family is flying anywhere else in the year after the TTF expiration. I'm thinking I'll probably do it this way, as I don't want to add $251 to SW's profits. :lmao:

I had called SW, and the vouchers can be used by anyone, as an FYI.
