From what Ive read the trainer program is no longer at Seaworld....but is instead at Discovery Cove. There are still lots of exciting programs at Seaworld and i'd recommend that you check them out.

I know that I definately read in a guidebook that SW no longer do it...HOWEVER...according to the SW website they still do the trainer program!!!
According to the site its $250...read on DIS that it was more expensive previously.

Hope if you book it that you enjoy..i'd love to hear about it. ::MinnieMo

Been there, done that...awesome!!! He gets to interact with the killer whales, false killer whales, dolphins, sea lions, a walrus, plus other animals like the African Fish Eagle (a relative of the Bald Eagle and was flown at the beginning of the Shamu Adventure show) and servals (cats). He'd enjoy it.

I did it a few years ago. As Nellas said, you interact with so many animals. I got some awesome pictures! It really is a great experience and something he'll remember all his life!

We treated our daughter after she had finished her GCSE's and if you asked her what was the most memorable experience she has ever had in all her trips to Florida she would say 'Trainer for a Day'. I hope they haven't stopped doing it at Seaworld, she's saving to do it again this year!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Definately let him do it. Our daughter loved it...she was about that age. I wish I would have done it now..lol, after seeing all the great stuff she got to do. Worth the money for sure!

I have just emailed Seaworld Orlando to ask if they still do the programme. It's a little confusing as it says on the sites they do, but there is nowhere to purchase the ticket online. I can't remember what I did last time, I think we did it over the telephone and then had to fill in an application form. There was definitely a poster up by the Dolphin lagoon at Christmas advertising it.

I will keep you posted when I get a reply.

Just had a reply from Seaworld...................................
